Glitterducky, I quite agree.
I do want my bodyweight within the healthy range, I would love to be able to buy nice clothes, I want to become fit and healthy, but I do want to retain a woman's body.
A bit of softness is not necessarily a bad thing.
Besides, I think my BF would go into mourning if my boobs and a certain amount of feminine curves were to disappear.

Great article. Although I don't think I'd want to be that muscular. A little much for me.

The only reason that I can come up with for having saggy boobs as a 21 year old is due to breastfeeding my daughter for 14 months. So i'm partial to thinking that it does...

Saggy boobs: Is not the breastfeeding is the pregnancy.

And that's the truth

However I had 3 children, nursed and was pregnant over a 10 years span and I am not saggy, genetics may play a role as well.

Does anyone really want to look like those woman yuck.

I agree, women with rippling beef jerky bodies kinda gross me out.
I'm sure they feel as light as a feather bounding down the boardwalk on a misty Venice beach morning for their daily 10 mile run before they start their day but...

LOL

By the way!!!

The trend that has developed with women flaunting their muffin tops is equally as disgusting. Especially if they have no buttocks and really full muffin tops with low rise pants on!http://mgwriters.files.wordpress.com...op-attire1.jpgWHAT ARE THEY THINKING! PUT THAT AWAY!!

Omg those women their abs... scary. I want a flat stomach but nothing like that!

joyfulloser 01-30-2011 08:39 AM

Those woman (except the author) are professional bodybuilders! If you were to see them on the street...your jaw would drop! They "lean up" like that by basically dehydrating themselves (a/k/a cutting) before a competition. They are not that vainy and look spectacular on a normal day!;)

They know what most woman don't...that abs are not made by doing crunches...that's a ridiculous myth that has many many woman spinning their wheels. I can say from personal experience...running and proper diet has always been enough to give me ripped 6-pack like gorgeous abs, a firm fanny, no muffin top, strong back, defined arms, etc...:)

This is so true! I've had two children, didn't nurse but my breasts grew huge during both pregnancies from a 34C to a 34DD. I'm almost 40 and my breasts don't sag at all. I'm a firm believer in genetics playing a role in how your breasts age. Case in point: My mom lived to the age of 65 and her breasts were stuck to the wall of her chest, lol. No sagginess whatsoever.

Ditto on the running firming me up and giving me nice "girl abs" with great definition. Didn't have much of a muffin top but my abdomen tightened up considerably. I always scoffed when people said running tones your whole body. I was like, "yeah, right." But then I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. I saw results almost immediately. And my legs are way more toned plus my heart is thanking me as well, lol. Of course, cutting out sugar and junk food while eating cleanly has helped too. :)

thanks for the article, found it enlightening. I really enjoy weight lifting, but had to give up my Y membership... I think I am going to become creative and make sure to incorporate lifting into my routine!

What's the best way to shrink my front butt on my weight loss journey?

Hey Mouse, not sure what a front butt is, but it's unfortunately not possible to "spot reduce"- or to shrink specific parts of your body that have fat on them. I wish it was true- I have big thighs and fat under my arms that bug the heck out of me!

The only way to lose fat is through your diet- eating fewer calories than you consume. Add in cardio and strength training and you can add firmness and tone to your body. But the body decides where we lose weight, we unfortunately cannot!

There is a sticky thread in this forum on the subject- see the number one myth: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/exer...ise-myths.html
