Wow, Helen, I don't think I've even done 1500 miles in my life! Congratulations!!!

My proud moment came last night on the treadmill (I always set it at 1.0 incline, which I've been told approximates the wind resistance of running outside on a fairly flat surface). I ran 2 miles in 15:30!!! First mile was an 8:00 pace, then I kicked it way up to a 7:30 pace for the second mile. First time I have EVER broken 8:00!!! I feel like a real runner now

39/60... don't think I'm going to make it this month, but let's see how close I can get...

How were they spooky, Allison? Dark outside?

I wanted to run 6 miles tonight, but I got home too late because of a meeting and had to cut it to 4. They were relatively fast, though -- I maintained a decent pace. I'm working toward my goal of running my 10k in April under one hour.

Anyway...88.1/75

Lisa~oh, it's usually dark (4:30 AM) and that doesn't bother me (I have a "cyclops" flashlight on my baseball cap and a reflective vest thing-y that I wear and occasionally Chico wears his lighted collar and leash), but this morning Chico and I heard a noise.....I looked over into the neighbor's yard and there were two eyes glowing at me (because of my headlight). Then we heard another noise--it sounded like a hiss. Cat? No way, this animal was way too big to be a cat (at least a housecat). Then I had thoughts of a wild cat (we are pretty close to the wild desert). The animal then started out toward us......I'm still staring at those eyes as it comes out into the street.....I'm walking slowly so it doesn't give chase.....It comes out and I finally realize it's my neighbor's dog! I told it to be good and go home (he and my dog don't get along very well). It wasn't until I talked to it that MY NEIGHBOR spoke up! He'd been standing there the whole time (he really bugs me). I told him he scared me and he didn't reply. Weird. Anyway, that totally spooked me for my entire run!

2 with the mutts after a long day at work...work and meetings until 10:30pm twice at church this week has really cut into my "me" time!
