I have and still use resistance bands. The thing I like about the bands is that they are easy to use, light weight and cheap. Like with anything exercise and diet related it takes consistant use to see results. I think if you stick with it you will feel stronger within a few weeks. I used to teach a 45 minute resistance band class at the Y. It was alot of fun. Great music helps and so does working out with a buddy. Best Wishes
