Default resistance bands

I justed started working out for about an hour at a time 3 - 4 days a week with resistance bands. Does anybody else use them? How long did it take to see results?

I use one with the WATP series of dvds. I could definitely feel it! I'm going to start doing it more than once a week. I'm not sure how long it takes to see results. Does yours have handles? Mine is just the stretchie that came with the dvds.

Default Resistance Bands

I have and still use resistance bands. The thing I like about the bands is that they are easy to use, light weight and cheap. Like with anything exercise and diet related it takes consistant use to see results. I think if you stick with it you will feel stronger within a few weeks. I used to teach a 45 minute resistance band class at the Y. It was alot of fun. Great music helps and so does working out with a buddy. Best Wishes OneXSport

No mine don't have handles they are just big bands. I feel it too! I have to do it every other day cuz my muscles are so sore the day after! I just hope it really helps me get long and lean. I do 30 mins on the elliptical at the heighest resistance the days that i don't use the bands and 10 mins on it before i start the bands to warm up.

I just stepped out and went to Walmart. They have a resistance band kit. It was around $20. It has several bands of different strength and handles. I think I'll try it when I go home today.

I just started using one too. Mine is the one with handles. I read you are supposed to do upper toning exercises one day and then lower toning exercises the next day to give your upper body a rest. I've been doing some this past week in the evening while watching TV. It must be working because I'm hurtin' like crazy today. I would love to find a good DVD.

Leslie Sansone has one. She is the one who does Walk Away The Pounds (WATP). Also, I did a search online and found quite a few pictures of stuff to do with them.
