  • Here's another 'workout music thread' that was started in here a bit ago. Lots of suggestions!

  • Here's my current workout list - starts slow, works up to run speed, cools off to walking speed (it's almost exactly 1 hour long):

    Kanye West – Stronger

Mika – Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)

Wreckx-n-Effect – Rump Shaker – (ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM)

Ok Go – Here It Goes Again (if those guys can dance on the treadmills, I can at the very least walk on them briskly)

    TeddyBears – Cobrastyle

M.C. Luscious – Boom I Got Your Boyfriend

Lacuna Coil – Closer (has kind of a slow beginning, but gets good)

Good Charlotte – I Don’t Wanna Be in Love

Grandmaster T - Too Much Booty in the Pants (very inspiring to work out to)

All Time Low – Dear Maria, Count Me In

Le Tiger – Deceptacon (grrr angry grrl bandz roxxorz)

The Killers – When You Were Young

    Metro Station – Shake It

We the Kings – Check Yes Juliet (love this song, the lyrics actually say “lace up your shoes” and “run, baby, run”)

The Cheeky Girls – The Cheeky Song (just hilarious)

Shakira - Wherever, Whenever (I also like Hips Don't Lie)

Will.i.am – I Got it From My Momma

The Killers – Somebody Told Me

    Paramore – Crushcrushcrush

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Higher Ground

Fort Minor – Remember the Name
  • I listen to a lot of the 80's "hair" bands like poison.. i LOVE me some Poison on the treadmill..
  • Ah I love Kanye West.. just something about the stronger track that makes pushing through a bit easier! Rhianna's album is also a good beat
  • Ha well being a proper brass band geek, the only thing that gets me on the treadmill is the online radio playing brass band music.
I think its because I know the pieces I concentrate on what my part is, instead of running kinda thing.
But I can't really do it to the music I'm into, I just end up counting down seconds.
  • I love Kanye's Stronger too. I also love Janet Jackson's Feedback. Has good uptempo beat. Her song Enjoy on the last album is also good. Nice beat and has a positive message about enjoying your life no matter what.
