I have a very old tape called "Walking to the Beat" all very old songs but with a good beat that you can walk to,on the other side has a faster beat, I never got to that one, tho. I also have a Rjchard Simmons tape and a Jenny Craig tape, all are walking tapes, good songs all recognizable and old.
I have a seriously weird mix on my MP3. U2, Dean Martin, Atreyu, Beegees, Beatles, Bare Naked Ladies, Alice n Chains, Clapton, Wang Chung, Commodores, Led Zepplin, SmashMouth ...
I listen to the radio on my MP3 It's not really an MP3 but it's small like it...since I've been running I suddenly love hard rock... So I put it on that station... On Sunday mornings they have specials on like the history of rock... I prefer the variety on the radio...
Well I just recently bought and MP3 player and listen to a variety of songs, mostly from the early 80s. Pre-MP3 though, I listened "Three Little Fishies", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Old MacDonald", and other goodies but oldies. LOL Son's gotta have his music too ya know.
Books on tape. Songs may get me started, but they won't keep me going. A good book will get me to walk or run a little farther, just to see what happens.
I have my iPod shuffle loaded with country songs, some old, some new, plus the Eagles, and some Motown. There's a really good (and big) John Denver set I want to order next -- LOOOOOVE John Denver and think he'd make for good distraction for me while walking/running.
