I am concerned about the application. The reviews in the Android marketplace for the app are TERRIBLE!! Surely they are working out the kinks since the Iphone/Android user community is so large...I would love to hear some feedback from someone who isn't trying to sell me the product.
After much deliberation and research I have decided against the BBsp. CS will tell you there is no problem with the app but tech support acknowledges but assures the issues are fixed. I read way too many recent reviews to buy that.
Ultimately my decision was based on convenience. In order to stay "real time" my Android Evo would have to be within bluetooth range of the BB armband. The Evo battery quickly drains and I think a constant bluetooth connection would make matters worse. Also, I don't want to have to carry my phone with me every second of the day, especially while at home.
I ordered the BB version 3 with the digital display and a clip so that I don't have to wear the chunky watch (not cute!) Just wanted to share my research with you all!
24 Hr Fitness is having a one day sale today on both versions (down $20 from yesterday!)
Sales shoppers be warned...joining the 24 Hr Fitness online store advertises 10% off all sales but somewhere else there is a disclaimer the BB sales are not included...whatever.
I can't wait to get it. I did some super heavy gardening work yesterday for 3 hours and I would have loved to see how many calories I burned!!
Just so you're aware, the bugs seem to have been mostly worked out with the app and I haven't found any bugs with the program online.
I really love my Bodybugg, as mentioned in previous posts. It's a very useful aid for tracking my calories consumed vs calories consumed. It's great for setting short term goals and long term goals. I find that by the end of the day, if I haven't met my daily target goal deificit, then I walk in place, do jumping jacks, etc.. just to reach my goal. It's very motivating.
