Hi. I had a quick question about the Ab's Diet. One of my guy friends has started this and he claims that it is wonderful.

He said that you see quick results. Before I buy the books or consider this...I wanted to get female perspective from you guys...

has anyone heard of this? or tried it?

We've had several threads on the Abs Diet here in the forums -- This one from May (which also has a couple of links to threads discussing the plan) for example.

It's not a BAD diet, but there certainly isn't anything new about it. This is your basic bodybuilder's diet - there's nothing special about it that would make you more apt to have visible abs.

I've thumbed through it and it IS written more to a guy's POV - if you want a more female-oriented book, I would suggest Body for Life for Women by Pamela Peeke which is EXCELLENT.

I read the book and I agree its a guys diet. Its really a boring diet. No chocolate that type thing. Really strict. I wouldnt do it, because I couldnt live with it. I think he is marketing it to men and women as an afterthought to make extra $. Read the reviews on Amazon though..
