I've seen the commercial but have not seen the actual videos or anything. I would expect that it's probably pretty much the same as the myriad of other video-based fitness programs which incorporate weight training, cardio, and nutrition.
I just checked his website and AHA - he's not just selling videos but he's also pushing supplements, along with a members-only website (those usually turn out to be VERY overblown as far as what you actually get when you get INTO the website).
I had to laugh at the "selected articles and media reviews" as three of the articles are basically biographical profiles about how successful he's been at marketing himself!
And that's the key here...marketing. I would be willing to bet that there isn't any info here that you couldn't get in, say,
Body for Life for Women or Krista Scott Dixon's website at
http://www.stumptuous.com/weights.html - keep in mind that I haven't SEEN the videos but my BS detector kind of went off when I saw that he was selling supps.
Besides, I just checked eBay and there are currently 18 listings for the FMS videos (2 VHS, 16 DVD) at a significantly cheaper price.
If you buy it and try it out, please post a review on our
Fitness Videos forum.
