I have a medically diagnosed thyroid disorder (hypothyroidism - low thyroid) and will have to take prescription medication every day for the rest of my life to treat it, so I know a bit about thyroid disorders. Please be extrememly cautious about any at-home diagnosis or treatment of thyroid problems! There is no way to diagnose thyroid problems without lab tests. You DO NOT want to mess around with your thyroid - you can permanently damage your thyroid function with unproven, unregulated 'tests' and remedies.

Your MD can order an array of laboratory tests to assess your thyroid function. That is the ONLY way to accurately diagnose thyroid problems, regardless of what you may read on the Internet (lots of people have naturally occuring low-body temps - it has nothing to do with your thyroid). If it turns out that you do have a thyroid disorder, it has to be treated with thyroid replacement hormones (only available with a doctor's prescription), not unregulated herbal supplements.

Please - if you think you have a thyroid disorder, ditch the Thyrosense and make an appointment with your MD and get the appropriate lab tests done.

Thanks for the info, at the health store the women there gave me info about the at home test you can take to see if that is the problem, i was a bit leary about the whole thing... I guess i'll take the product back and get it refunded.
My body is totally out of wack since i was one of those that used mahung nd ephedra and lost alot then regained it when they took it off the market.. I just assumed after all of that, that this may have helped. Thanks again for the info and any sugesstions for someone who hates exercise?? lol

about hating exercise. I was convinced that I hated it too (for 46 years). You might just be surprised if you give exercise a chance ... I used to think people were totally when they said that exercise gives you energy and improves your mood. But they were right - who would have thought??

Do you belong to a gym? Joining a gym changed MY life - I walked into mine at 257 pounds and lost 122 over the next 11 1/2 months. I know for sure that exercise was a huge part of why I was successful (and how I keep the weight off).

Is there any exercise that you like to do? Our MrsJim - who's lost 115 pounds and kept it off for 15 years now - recently posted about starting out on an exercise program and it might give you some ideas: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...11&postcount=5

Bottom line - you gotta exercise to lose weight so try and find something you like - you might be like me and discover that exercise really CAN be fun!
