i think you might be right... my doctor referred me to a dietician earlier in the year, and i was following her advice. her recommendation was to stick to about 1400 - 1600 calories/day.
but that wasn't really working... the other day, i found calorie-count.com, and based on my age, frame size, height, weight, average hours of sleep/night, and activity levels, they suggested about 2,100 calories/day for healthy weight loss. so i've been following that, and so far it seems to be working (and i'm feeling a LOT less restricted!)...
i'm still curious about the water thing, though. next time i go to the doctor, i'm going to bring it up, and request that they do the necessary testing to OFFICIALLY diagnose it, and start me on the diuretics used to treat it. at least then, maybe i won't be so dehydrated all the time.
i have tried to do some research on the 'net, but it's such a rare condition that there isn't much information that i can get my hands on... well, there ARE some medical articles, but i don't even begin to understand what they say.

*lol*
