Hi guys-Brad wants to know if you can mail us those fudgicles-actually I will do a web search for Blue Bunny products -found a lot of splenda soda anyways!!!It's raining but I am getting some perennials to start and planting the geraniums I saved all winter. Not much to say-sure do enjoy stayimg at home and catching up. Oh yeah-I invited people for a Father's Day cookout this Sun and had to notify them that it's a week from this Sunday-more time to catch up!!!Bye Mime

anagram 06-06-2003 12:32 AM

I had managed to string together four good OP days and blew it today. Not blown like it would have been in the old days but no exercise, not enough water and too many servings of too many things at a picnic. I did have only small tastes of the things but just too many of them. Esp the desserts. But had a good time and we had SUN TODAY. A little cool though even though we hit the low 70s. still a lot of dampness around and a good wind going.

Happy, your plans sound so great. I'm sure you'll be glad you made that move. It's just the getting there.

Don't remember all I read on other thread so I'll just catch up as I can. computer and I were not on speaking terms for a while.

Candicej 06-06-2003 02:15 AM

Mima...I think Walmart carries the Bluebunny stuff too:)

Anagram...good to see you, I know what you mean about the computer statement! I blew pt yesterday..my DH brought home some choc chip oatmeal cookies from his DS and I ate way to many..we all know how I cannot resist homemade cookies! Still carring 5 pounds of it around my waist!

Candicej 06-06-2003 02:22 AM

www.changeone.com

You can go to this site type in your info and it will give you a nutional guide for your body. Then it will ask you to go futher and sigh upfor their diet but you do not have to do that. Accoriding to this I am right where should be for my height and age. Let's see what you all find out! It will give you your BMI and calories you need to consume.

Candicej 06-06-2003 02:58 AM

Happy..do you know about those Urban Waffers from Canada????????????? 2 pts a serving and 4 wafers is a serving.

Mima 06-06-2003 05:53 AM

Good morning-my husband got me up at 5-enticing me with coffee-and now he's back to sleep. Candice-I went to the Blue Bunny website and there is a Walmart near me that is suppossed to carry them but they said they only had Sam's Club ice cream . I wrote 2 e-mails to the company but have not heard from them yet. Maybe I'll talk to the manager because I live at Walmart, although that one is further away. I was going to stock the freezer-they have so many good products-it's the Splenda that interests. me. Finally got some plants-put out my geraniums and some petunias-will plant the impatients today-can't do too much cuz part of the yard will be excavated -then I can make my perennial gardens. Fun !!!The plants are slowly coming down in price too. And I want some pretty bushes. Nice to hear from you Anagram. Going to weigh in this am. Ha!!Bye for now Mima

Hi everyone

Candice, those Urban Wafers are actually made by a dutch baker. They have a very THIN layer of chocolate in them and then a thin wafer on each side. I liked them, but everyone else thought they were like eating cardboard. But hey, when you can't eat cookies, these are great. If you want some, I can get some and send them to you.

Your flowers are beautiful.

Anagram glad you enjoyed the picnic. You can't give up food everyday, so I guess you pick and choose what days are most important.

Mima - sounds like your house is getting done. You won't know it when all the renovations are done.

I went to the dentist today for a check-up and cleaning. No cavities and the cleaning was really easy. Last one was a year ago. I am getting really, really good at this flossing business:lol

Two weeks until we move and I haven't started packing. Just cleaning stuff out. Sent a bunch of stuff home with my son the other day, so getting rid of it instead of moving it, makes it easier.

Hi Joanne, Meme, Raven and Alley.

Everyone have a good weekend

Mima 06-07-2003 07:43 AM

Beautiful flowers candice. i finally planted some impatients and geraniums-i won't save the geraniums again-they get too tall-i should have broken them off. stay calm anne but it is easier the second time. i had to clean out brad's house-still not done-so moving in was awful-except for the part about moving in with brad-got through it somehow. weighed in yesterday-she didn't have the books so i don't know how much i lost but I did lose-not bad being away-i sort of took the day off yesterday but 2 hours of gardening in the heat must have burned up some calories. gotta go-wallpapaer guy coming at 9 to look over the job. Mima

anagram 06-07-2003 08:55 AM

Had a good OP day yesterday. Good weigh in this a.m. Too bad it's not my official weigh in day. By then I'll be retaining water or some other dumb thing. However, once I see a good, lower number I like to think it will stay around.

Despite miserable stormy weather, we're heading south today to play with the princesses and for DH to be feted tomorrow for Father's Day (DD will be in Bahamas next weekend). Expecting DS and wife to join us as well though he had been planning to come up next weekend. Just as well this way. Just like to see them once in a while. Doesn't have to be a long time.

Candicej 06-08-2003 06:37 AM

Happy....when you buy them do they come 4 in a packet sealed and how many in abox? Or do they not come in a box. Ithought the site to order them was confusing. Can you clear it up for me?

Mima..Do you have to places to live?

Anagram...I did not understand your post..heading south what?????

Mima 06-08-2003 07:12 AM

candice-i was living in my condo before we got married last may-now it is rented out for a nice little income. poured yesterday-brad was in the middle of updating our air conditioning-we'll probably never need it this year-when we started rearranging the 24 x 24 great room. of course the first time it didn't work but we started over. it looks so spacious now!!like it should. I still have some more work to do getting rid of clutter but that's for tomorrow. talked to my grandaughter last night-she is in her drama classes' play for 2 days. she loves to act! they are all going to see the american Idol concert in tampa in August, jill thinks they are in the front row because of the handicapped seating. Finally wallpaper is going up Wed-then we might do the bedroom. I feel so scattered because we are working on so many projects at the same time but I'm not complaining-this is what i wanted-the trick is getting the workmen to show up!!the siding guy hasn't been here cuz it's always raining-oh well-that's one thing you can't control. have a grat day mima

Joanne D 06-08-2003 09:03 AM

Hey There

I just spent a great week up at my daughters..She is teaching summer school reading so we did things in the afternoon.
Everytime I go away I have to lose the wt. gained. I am not getting too far ahead of the game this way. I guess it could be worse. It will be catch up this week.
Candice..I have the same problem..Clean one thing in a room and it ends up the whole room. My right arm is always hurting. My shoulder has been injected so many times I have lost count.
Happy.. I bet you will love it being closer to family.
Anagram- Coming south? Bring cool clothes.
Meme..I wish I was losing weight that easy..
Hello Ally,Mima,
Bye..Joanne

Raven454 06-08-2003 10:58 PM

Hi ladies,
Sorry I haven't written for awhile. Mother-in law was in the hospital all week. She has alzheimers, high bp and had complications. She is doing better and back in the nursing home.
We have had absolutely the crappiest weather here in Michigan! Doesn't even seem like summer yet. :rain: Hoping it warms up this week. At least my lawn and flower beds are looking wonderful, lol!
Have a plethora of graduation parties to attend all month. That always means too much good food, going to try to stay in control. I'm trying to really get in shape for all the walking I'll be doing in San Francisco next month when we visit our son. :strong:
Hope all of you have a fabulous, comfortable week. Take care.

Gail

Mima 06-09-2003 07:37 AM

hi gail from another gail. who were you named after.my caps are not working-i think my mother said i was named after the actress gail storm-course that was 1938-you probably have not heard of her. it's crappy here too. no summer yet. going to fifnish the living room today -it's looking real spiffy. i wasn't too good this weekend but i did walk last night with weights-boy does that make you tired.have a good day. everyone. mima

Raven454 06-09-2003 09:36 PM

Nice to meet you Mima/Gail. Actually, I do know who Gail Storm is. I was named after Gail Russell, one of my dad's favorite actresses.
I did yard work for a couple of hours today, that has to suffice as exercise for me! I'm so darn tired and sore now, hands are killing me. It's FINALLY going to get warm here this week, mid to upper 70's.....perfect summer weather :cp:
About time too!
I picked up a book from the library I've been waiting to get for 3 months. Going to relax in the yard tomorrow and read.
Enjoy all of you, wherever you may be.

See ya,
Gail

Mima 06-10-2003 07:30 AM

HI back!I washed the floor yesterday-big sweat-that was my evercise and I'm sore-24x24 room but I used my Wonder mop. stayed up to take that iq test on Fox. I lost 7 pts from when I was ion my 20's but it was fun-I love things like that- my son and his wife both have IQ's in the 130's whicjh is considered genius. And they are smart. Son taught himself the computer business -once wrote an auction that sold for a quarter of a million-only thing is the guy didn't make the payments so my son had to reclaim it and now runs it himself-oh, there I go bragging-the other 2 are bright also-I have been fortunate!!! going for massage today and a haircut. And to look at wallpaper.Candice-I finally heard from Blue Bunny and they told me the products are in the Superstores so I will have to wait a year for the new Walmart one to be built-but they have one in Ft Myers where we will be for the winter.Hi to all!!!Mima

anagram 06-10-2003 08:04 AM

Welcome Raven 454.

Joanne, I didn't get that far south. Just to Rockville, Md. Candice, the reference was to my granddaughters. I babysat Sat. night and then on Sunday DD took her Dad out to dinner for Father's Day. Nice weekend. No exercise Sat except playing w/girls, didn't drink enough water and ate less healthy than at home. But had two good op days since.

Saw dr. last wk and told him I was a mess. He offered me prednisone but I figured that would just put weight back up. Told him three days of good weather and I'd be ok. Seems to have made a good deal of improvement. Hope you're improving too, Meme. Miss you.

Good luck on move, Happy. I'd be frantic by now. Mima, I took a battery of tests (including an IQ test) a while back as part of a study on how estrogen replacement does or does not affect memory, etc. Very stimulating afternoon and my check for $40 is going to be cashed today. The only prior IQ number I knew was from sixth grade and I had lost about 8 points as well. But I still did very well and haven't lost as much as it usually seems on a day to day basis. As my daughter said "The best thing is you had a job" - well, at least for 2 and a half hours. Have to figure out a good way to splurge with that whole $40.

Busy running around day today. Eatig out with dh after his dr. appt. Must cook again some day.

MemeToo 06-10-2003 02:22 PM

My hubby loves me so much...he brought home a cold and shared it with me. Only mine has turned into something much worse! I've had this for 7 days and now I've lost my voice. WHAT NEXT?

I had my blood checked again last Thursday. They called me yesterday and said it has only gone up slightly.
It was: hemoglobin 1st time - 9.4 ... this time - 10
hematocrit 1st time - 28 ... this time - 28.4
Average hemoglobin is supposed to be 12 - 16 and average hematocrit is supposed to be around 45 so you see what I'm up against. My daughter sent me several articles she found on the internet about anemia ... I thought this one was interesting. (not that I'm elderly!!!)

DETERMINING A NORMAL, SAFE HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL IN THE ELDERLY

ANCHOR LEAD:
One of the most common blood tests to measure health is coming under scrutiny following a new study. Mat Edelson reports…

A new study in older women may push doctors to reconsider what a normal hemoglobin count is in elderly patients. Hemoglobin count measures the amount of energizing oxygen in red blood cells. For younger women, a 12 to 16 count is considered normal. With the elderly, some doctors accept slightly lower, mildly-anemic numbers, believing that older people are less active and don't need as much oxygen. A large Johns Hopkins study showed that kind of thinking may be dangerous, as it linked a count of 12 with impending frailty. Study author Paulo Chaves…

One of the consequences is that it is linked to mobility disability, which is a major problem because people may develop mobility difficulties and then stop doing their daily activities, do less exercise, not walk that much, then maybe develop mobility dependency and increase the risk of mortality.: 20
Women with counts of 12 were up to one-and-half-times more likely to have difficulty with activities of daily living.
At the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, I'm Mat Edelson reporting.

Mima... 130 IQ can't possibly be considered genius because mine is 133 and I'm really dumb!!! My eight yr. old grandson had his IQ tested right before school was out and he tested out at 127. I'd like to know what Ross' is ... he's the 6 yr. old who is bipolar. His probably goes off the charts! He went to Sylvan last year and they didn't do IQ tests. They are going to try him in public school this year and I dread it for him soooo bad. He's staying with me this summer. He's the best kid ... so sweet and loving! One day last week he hit a hyper mood ... 'bout drove me nuts! But so far so good!

Mima 06-11-2003 06:01 AM

who said you weren't smart meme-you learn so quickly-all that computer stuff-anagram-that's great about the $40-i would do that-don't spend it on food because that doesn't last-ha!!I wonder about my mind on a day to day basis and then i go correct the teacher tests and i do very well. all the scorers are up there in age. Getting wallpaper in kitchen today. I looked for the bedroom yesterday but didn't find it. Went to a church fair meeting last night-going to help out with the craft booth-i am going to have a workshop to make wreaths-I love to do that stuff. i don't think it's going to rain today!!Mima

Mima 06-12-2003 07:46 AM

Hey where are you guys? I had a crazy day yesterday. The wallpaper guy came and did a nice job except for the top of the cupboard-he said I thought you didn't want that. So I climbed up after he left and put the border up-it actually looks great because I took the shelf down. Then I was putting things back on the shelf when a cover hit me on the head-I have a huge lump and it still hurts. Last night I was leaning over in the glider when it tipped sideways and dumped me on the floor-my whole left side is sore. But I didn't break anything.Going for a walk today so I can lay low. It must be all this rain-it's going to rain again tonight. Mima

Joanne D 06-12-2003 10:18 AM

Hey There

Mima- Sounds like you had one of those days. There are days when everything I touch falls and everything goes wrong. Tops tonight and I am sure to have a gain. It has been that kind of week. I start out good and end up not so good. I haven't found or taken the time to walk. I always call that Motivation or the lack of it.
Anagram-- I thought you had decided to come to the deep south. I didn't think that most of you Yanks do that in the fall. It has been really hot and humid. They keep predicting rain ,but, it just rains all around us.
Meme -I wish I knew all the things you know about computers..
Don't put yourself down.
Hello Happy,Ally, and all...
Got to get busy. If I keep busy, I don't get bored...Joanne

Happy Canuk 06-13-2003 04:56 AM

Hi

Well here it is, the middle of the night, and I can't sleep, so I am sitting at the computer hoping to bore myself to sleep:lol: It doesn't seem to be working.

Mima - I hope you are ok. That was a really rough day.

Joanne - Do what you can. It is hard to be motivated when it is hot out. We have had a fair amount of miserable weather, but no good soaking rain. Just cloudy and grey, with a few showers thrown in for good measure. Makes a body hurt.

Hi, Meme, Candice, Ally and Raven. Hope you ladies are doing ok. You must all be very busy.

I am slowly packing things up. Do a little bit everyday, as I use most of the stuff I have. It is still amazing to me, how much stuff collects in a year. Have been weeding through it and have gotten rid of a lot of stuff.

Hope everybody has a nice night.

Mima 06-13-2003 07:30 AM

LOL Anne-This morning we are going to the social security office so Brad can start collecting. The business is going in my name and Brad is going to work for me. Ha!!!Then I go to TOPS to weigh in. I was down a lb yesterday but who knows today. GOing to see the Gaithers tonight. Picking up Auntie. BYe for now-gotta sew a button on Brad's only clean pair of work pants. Mima

Joanne D 06-13-2003 09:28 AM

Hey There

Happy- Don't you get tired of all the moving? When we moved into this house 42 years ago,I said, never again. I have gathered so much STUFF over the years,It would be impossible anyhow.
I can't let the heat beat me down, otherwise, the constant struggle with the weight would be a lost cause.
Mima- I was so afraid of that scale last night . I just wanted to weigh and get it over with. Well It showed a 1/2 lb loss. No one could have been more surprised. Maybe that will be motivation for me this week to stay on program.
Hello everybody...Joanne

Candicej 06-14-2003 01:42 AM

Well..I hurt my back Monday moving the washer and dryer out to clean...I think it is just a strain but I can't sit for very long so have my exercise mat on the livingroom floor along with the heating pad and my tennis balls and a stretchy band to help me work out the pain. I want an MRI on my hips and lower back but the docs do not want to order them. I have not been there this time..trying to treat it on my own. I will go if it is not better next week. All they want to do is give you meds and I can't take them so trying to get a handle on this myself. Since I have lost weight I seem to injure myself more :(

The trip to my mom's will have to wait..can't ride in a car right now let alone drive myself!

MemeToo 06-14-2003 02:18 AM

OUCH...back pain... bad stuff! What about a chiropractor? I know what you mean about the doctors. Hubby is wanting me to go to the Dr. about my knee. It won't straighten all the way out but it won't bend either. It's really hard to get in and out of the van...I have to slide all the way to the middle getting in and out because it won't bend. Makes it a real pain trying to get up, too. But it's like I told him, they won't do anything so why go! Oh, they may wrap it or something but I have braces here I could wear around it...but what good would that do...it already won't bend!!! They just keep it from bending... DUH!

I think I have finally found a vitamin I can take. Have you all ever seen those vitaballs they make for kids in the form of bubble gum? Hubby brought me some home the other night and they didn't hurt my stomach! They may rot my teeth out though!

Mima 06-14-2003 09:16 AM

way to go meme-darn shift is broken-ooooh candic, back pain ! they have some cream with hot pepper in it-capraicin-try some of that but only a little at a time cuz it will burn-they have lots of creams for pain-I used it the other night after i fell-and put it on with a tissue-but it really works-I got mine at Walmart. went to the gaither concert last night-4 hours with only a 15 minute break-the cost of the ticket was 16.50-can you believe it!They are great. They are going to be in FL in Jan so we can go again. Meme-you know who they are. WEnt to bed at 1-gotta clean and shop today. Bye for now. Mima

Ally0306 06-14-2003 07:40 PM

HI Guys......Don't worry, I didn't disappear. For the first time in a while we have SUN. Don't want to miss any of it.
Went to a place called Moonshine BBQ today and ate too much. Also got to wear my capri pants for the first time...and looked down and realized I have hairy legs with a new broken vein. Geeez. I'll check in tomorrow and read what you all are up to...

Candicej 06-15-2003 05:02 AM

Ally....we will just call you dirty hairy! :D

Mima..what is the name of that stuff you bought!

Meme..hope you knee gets better...if we lived closer we could have tea and cookies (with no calories) and whine about our ailments!

Forgot to tell you we had a wind advisory Tuesday morning with 60 mile and hr. winds for an hour and it just about blew my flowers to shreds! I had to trim a bunch of stuff back including my roses. My pots were blowing away too so I went out in the wind and gathered them all up and put them into the garage.. 'bout blew away myself! Had to repot some of the stuff too.

Feed my roses some epsom salt and sprayed them for the powdery mildew and black spot today. Also pulled some weeds....now my injured back is hurting pretty bad! but it had to be done and know one else would do it!

Got some strawberry jam and choc chip cookies made too for DH and his dad.

Ally0306 06-15-2003 08:08 PM

That must've been your 39th birthday Candice...you look so young.
And do not fear, I have shaved my legs. Am so glad Capri pants are still here. Used to make fun of my mother and her pedal pushers and her three quarter length sleeves due to excess wng span. Now I have the same thing. I even do push ups and lift weights.
Today was a weather perfect day. I could use about a month more of these...but it will be warmer tomorrow and my air conditioning doesnt work in my car. Hard to believe I actually have to roll down the window..

anagram 06-15-2003 10:24 PM

Did everyone enjoy Father's Day? I sure did as DS showed up yesterday with a new computer & scanner from him and DD. Of course, it's for Dad but they know full well I use it more than he does. Sweet kiddles. And he best part, of course, is that DS puts it all in working condition and customizes it for us.

Now I must admit it wasn't a good weekend calorie wise. That caramel cheesecake at the buffet today was too good not to eat (two pieces, no less). First I've had in more than a year and I will hop back on wagon in the morning. Only tea and salad for supper but one penance meal won't cut it - many more to come.

I am in such a good mood I can't believe I'm me.

Anybody else tried IcyHot patches for back pain? I've got capsaicin and other rubs too but sometime the patches take just enough of an edge off that I can keep going sooner (that's after heating pad, etc. if it's really bad). Knock on wood, though, I have not had any of the really, really b ad backaches for a while. (Clue: maybe 40 lbs less of me really helps? Of course the arthritis is still there so I'm always trying to be ultra careful).

Move getting closer, Happy. I would dread it but, like Candice, I have not moved in 33 years and can't seem to get more out than I keep bringing in.

Back on the wagon tomorrow!

MemeToo 06-15-2003 11:52 PM

Yeah Candice ... I wish we all lived close together ... we'd have a blast. Can't you just imagine the late night pajama parties, the morning coffee breaks and the 'brunches'??? :p We'd drive our hubbies crazy!!! (We'd probably drive each other crazy! :p ) From the looks of those pictures you're going backward in age!!!

We did the Father's Day thing... 'bout all day! After church we got hubby's Dad and met our son at a restaurant for lunch. then after church tonight we went to our daughters for pizza. I ate 2 pieces and I'm stuffed!!! I went grocery shopping this afternoon and bought plenty of meat and salad stuff. Gonna have to crawl back on that wagon, too. I'm going back on Atkins tomorrow. The scale hasn't budged for me for almost 2 weeks now. Have to get it started back down.

Hubby's mother found out she has cancer in her uterus. She'll have surgery in three weeks. I'm sure going to have my hands full this summer! She doesn't have any daughters...just 2 sons and the other daughter-in-law works (out of the home). I'm supposed to take her to her appointments, talk to the Dr. etc. I'll also have to do their cooking, cleaning and laundry for a while I'm sure. I don't know how I'm going to manage all that plus all my work and Ross. Especially with my energy level at an all time low! Oh well... as my dear maternal grandmother used to say, "It'll all come out in the warsh."

Candicej 06-16-2003 12:56 AM

Thanks for the comments gals but pictures do not show all the wrinkles, thankgoodness;)

Meme...You will have a special place in heaven for taking care of al the people you do:) I thought you were losing to due to that new medication????? No appitite you said........

Ally....thankgoodness you shaved those hairy things;) Ally I'm impressed that you lift weighta nd do puch ups! My arms are really weak form my 3 years battel with tennis elbow. It is finnally better but they still give me problems.

ana..icy hot patchesfor back pain..no but I need to get some...but you cannot use heat when you have that stuff on right?

We do have stong wind here..sometimes I wonder why I put all my flowers in. Today I had to prune back some more wind damage to shrubs and bushes, trees and my begonias. I think everything will come out of it though. Fertilized tonight when I watered.

My back is ok as long as I keep moving and wear some support. It is when I sit for too long it really hurts. Can't ride in the car....and when I am doidng my exercises the pelcic tilt and cat stretch really hurt! Been stretching on my exercise ball too!

MemeToo 06-16-2003 01:35 AM

Yes...I was losing due to the topamax but I haven't lost any in nearly 2 weeks. I still am not hungry. Hubby made bacon in the microwave this morning and I had a few pieces of that before church. Then we went to the Golden Corral for lunch. I had salad, boiled shrimp and just a little chicken and rice there. Then after those 2 pieces of pizza at Paula's tonight I was stuffed. I actually felt sick. I used to could eat 2 or 3 times that much plus dessert before topamax. But I've quit losing. Plus... with Atkins I'll get the extra protein ... and I really need that!!! I'm just going to do it for a week or two. I've got some steaks and chicken breasts, salads and green beans ... all healthy stuff. I need to get my blood count up.

Mima 06-16-2003 07:09 AM

I have to get back on the wagon today too-had a nice Father's day cookout with steak and potato salad etc-got to see my brother and his wife -it's been a while-Candice-here's the name- Arthritis Pain Relief-it's a tube-bought at Walmart-never tried the patches but they do sound good-have to bring my car in to be fixed-won't have it all week but I will rent a car later on this week-this is for that dent in the roof-vandalism-needs a whole new roof. Have a losing day-Mima-by the way , I lost a pound and a quarter last week. Bet it's back on. Mima

anagram 06-16-2003 08:51 AM

Right, Candice, you can't put heating pad on with patches. When I have problem I usually sit on recliner with heating pad for a while then apply patch. (Or if not worst pain just put on patch.) It usually lets me get up and get moving, slowly at first. Of course some of the microwave wrap around heating pads do same - just more bulky and need to be renuked once in a while. I find one patch lasts the day usually. And can stay on during sleep safely.

You're right, Meme. With so little appetite as much as possible should go to building up your blood levels. Any weight loss is an added blessing but getting those levels up will do most to end fatigue. Thank God, dh's are almost there. He's limited to 10 oz total protein for the day and it's tough to get enough. Plus he's trying to gain not lose. Has put some wt on but eating things just for that, sweets, i.e. since they said he has no sugar problem but even that is limited in quantity since he can only have so much potassium, etc. But he's here and improving every day so this Father's Day was another special blessing.

Off today for an hour's drive to lunch with still working friends. Had dinner out last three days in a row and I SHOULD skip weigh in this week as I won't be thrilled. Slimfast for breakfast and I'll be ok on lunch I'm sure. Weather drier here today finally; hoping discomfort will get a bit better.

Good day, all.

Hey

We had a really quiet Fathers Day here. I cooked salmon and shrimp with brown rice and salad. No desert. We are all trying to watch the weight. Our daughter sent a card and some money to spend and called. Our son gave his dad a painting he did. It is really nice.
I use the Icy Hot all the time. I do use the hot pad too. I have never used the patches. I like to sit in a hot tub of water for a while first.Opens all the pores and helps the Icy Hot to do it's job.
Even though most of the weight is gone the arthritis is there to stay.
We have finally got some rain. My hubby is outside looking for grasshoppers . We kill everyone of those big ugly things we can . They will eat everything in site. Even the paint off the house. Bug killers are useless. A shovel or big foot is the answer.
Bye Joanne

I'm depressed. I'm really really achy today. More rain in the forecast ... Seems like it's either rained or been cloudy for months here. We haven't had any weather fit to be outside this year. Hardly any sun at all! I've been having to take pain meds. almost every day just to function. I ate a donut for breakfast instead of protein like I had planned. I'm weak! Just have no will power when I feel like this. I'll do better at lunch and dinner!!! I'm not going to let one donut set my whole day back!
