Venetia, I wondered where you were
Well, duh, Venetia I never noticed you live in Florida. What part of Florida do you live in?? I have been to panama city beach and a few years ago I had a friend that lived in Chasohowitzka (I know that's spelled wrong) which is near Homosassa Springs and Crystal River. I went down there to visit a couple of times.

What a thing to happen you,you would think with so much of it in your family that ,that is the first thing they would do . So your on the pump ,I have to take shots twice a day and pills twice a day .it get rough somedays to do it .ever part of your body where you do it is sore .than to have to poke yourself :( I;m hopeing i can get off shots if i get my weight down . Well ladys I got me a new scale that tell to the point what I weigh and it 7 pounds heavier that my old one :?: so I guess i'll be weighin on it . it says 212.0 .I know when ever i went to doctor his was heavier but i weigh in the morning here and about 10 oclock there so i thought maybe that was it .I just got back from my walk .I still got 32 oz of water yet to get down before bed .So for I've had a yougurt lowfat stawberry and a turkey sandwish using diet bread . :) so come on Ladys till Linda about your day :lol: I don't know where the ladys that started this one Or But guess will just kept it going :o Ali What kind of eating plan or you on? I'm doing weight watcher right now .I like it let you choose what you'll have .as long as you stay in point range .your gonna like these ladys here ,their real nice bunch .Post as much as you can . I just wanted to stop by to let you all know that I met my goals for this week and it's not even ended yet (Sunday), anyway here it is; I walked 11.50 miles @ 276.50 minutes and 26.10 of the stationary bike for a total of 302.40 minutes. I am hoping to get in a 1 1/5 mile walk in the morning before I leave to Phoenix for the airport, but we will see. I've been so tired the last couple of days and I am not sure if it is because I was trying to eat lowcarb. I have added more today but still feel just worn out. I am hoping to be able to use the computer room at the conference center so I can keep in touch with you all, because I know I am going to need all the support I can get, to get through this week. It was nice to meet you Ali, stop bye often. Have a good week if don't get to chat again until next week. I think I am going to go to bed early tonight so I'll see you lighter, Connie, Linda, Venita and Ali . :wave: |

Wow JoeAnn you done great on the extercise . I walk about 4 miles this week and thought I done good :o I hope to add more next week .but my back gives me trouble and try to go out on me .so i'm taking it slow . I got church today Ladys so don't know if i'll be on much today .we got sun shine now for a few days in a row .it beautiful. it did rain a little one day but not long enough I couldn't get my walk in . Monday we get free nation wide long distant on our phone .I can call any where in the usa . So if you want to talk e-mail me your number if you live in USA . Thanks for the kind welcome! In response to foxylady, I am not really on a diet. My doctor advised me to keep my carbs as low as possible and cut sugars and starches out completely. Mainly what the Sugar Busters diet is, but we have adapted it to how our lifestyle has to be pretty much forever. But let me tell you, starches and carbs are so addicting! When I follow the doctors orders, I do really really well. And when I fall, my body tells me so! (The tiredness comes one pretty much immediately after I eat too many carbs). Also, weekends are not the best for me when I am watching carbs and sugars. I do super duper during the week, but once the weekend comes, all goes out the window! My willpower is 0. On the other hand, I am always looking for good low carb recipes and low sugar desserts to try out. (I am a consultant for a home kitchen parties company - can I say that?) So at the parties, I try out different things for people that are in situations like me. Also, I wrote about child testing in my first email. I was not overweight as a child. I was very fit, played tennis, basketball, and softball. Spent most of free time in a pool swimming. So, there were no signs of diabetes whatsoever that anyone keyed in on. I was however having very mild seizers that would last about 30 seconds. As I got older they were more frequent and longer. I thought it was normal, that everyone had them. I never told my mom. Nor was I ever sick - execpt for the quarterly sinus infections that I had. So, I really never went for check ups that required blook work until I was about 26. I started working for a good company that had a health fair on site. They tested my cholesterol. It was high - 276. The recommended that I see a doctor. That is when my first go round with diabetes started. He did the blood work. My sugars were 300. Cholesterol 276. Now, I am happy to say that my cholesterol is 170 and my sugars run 85-100! I am overweight. I know I need to drop 75-100 lbs. I do exercise but it isn't in my daily schedule. I must make it part of my day. When I do exercise I feel so much better. Okay - my goal today is to walk 1 mile - 10 times around my drive way! I will do that tonight when it gets cooler. Thank you for all your support! Ali :df: PS - sorry for being so long! |

how is everyone today . I;ve heard a little about sugar buster but don't know a whole lot .It sounds like you blood sugar is great .so you must be doing something right .Were glad your here to . I been reading about a diet called the south Beach diet have any of you ever tried it ? It says it can do wonder of diebatic ,plus lose weight . I had a dear Sister from church passed away so i'll be busy for a couple of days but i'll try and pop in if i can to say hello.How is everyone else doing this fine day ? I'm drinking on my second 32 oz of water :dizzy: today .so for i'm on plan . will do my walk before long .I think it working my dress fill losier .:o My sugar was down to 34 while ago that to low but it lunch time almost so i'll eat a sandwish . well got to go eat something before i fall on my face :lol: BY my friends :grouphug: |

So glad to see everybody posting; Venetia, hope you get your network working soon so we can here from you. Joe Anne - good lord woman, no wonder you're tired!! Great job with the exercise.:strong: Hope you have a great trip and that we get to hear from you while your gone. Linda - great job exercising and getting in the water. I'll have to look up that diet. Ali - hey I hear you about the weekends, I also have a hard time with weekends; I guess my job keeps me in a routine and since I don't work weekends I don't know what to do with myself then. I am so embarrassed to tell this, after reading how good you all are doing but, this past weekend I overdid the food a bit. I made the mistake of buying peanut butter last week. This past Sat and Sun night I wound up going overboard with the pb and graham crackers with milk. The peanut butter is going out with the garbage as of today and the graham crackers are going in my locker at work. Ok, this is it for now. I will try to get to computer at the library tomorrow to see what you guys are up to. :grouphug: |

all my friends .I had that furenal yesterday for my dear friend so I never got to be on much . Then on the way home my car was acting up :( But all is good and i made it safe . My husband will look at it later . As for eating :D well I did pretty good . I eat breakfast here so it was ok .than had a sandwish for lunch . it had ham cheese .so i took off chesse and only eat 1/2 give the rest to my daughter :cp: I thought i did ok . then I waited to have dinner at home . so i sure i stay on plan . I also :dancer: got my walk in up there .Me and my daughter took a walk around the blook .so i'm pretty happy . So how are you Ladys doing ? where is everyone :stress: don't leave me here all alone . :lol: I think i'll be able to report a lost friday ,i hope ,i hope ,i hope . :D well gotta run ,you all get on here and post i'm lonely now for a :grouphug: |

Good for you dixiedarlin about the peanut butter .if we can't handle it we need to get rid of it .I guess it ok to have and small amounts but it hard to eat just a little . We all have goofed up and over ate just don't beat yourself up over it .today is a new start just don't give up and will cross that finish line .God bless . :wave: |
Hello ladies.
I'm back at work tonight after a couple of days off. Didn't do anything exciting, I took a shopping trip out of town yesterday. I did better with the food also. Not much to post - I've got 32 oz of water in so far; my sugars have been in the 80s today. I'm still not to motivated about exercising. It's hot and humid here and it just makes you lazy. Which is no excuse I know. I hope Joe Anne is enjoying her trip. Hey Linda - glad to see your doing so well - maybe you can jump start me to start moving my butt!! Those were some good choices you made with lunch yesterday; I sometimes try to think of something I don't really need that I can leave off (like mayo on a cheeseburger, or cheese on a sandwich). Venetia - I miss you :( Ali - hope you're having a good day. Gotta start to work; see you all later. |

We still do not have the network fixed because we are still waiting for the Router. My computer is fine but my DH's keeps shutting off,and I hate to be in the middle of something and have to start over..:shrug: I had my WW weight in yesterday and had lost another lb. ;) .I don't know if that is typical but have lost 1 lb for the last two weeks. I want this weight to be gone, LIKE NOW!! Seriously I am so anxious but it took a while to put it on and will take a while to get it off.:yikes: Since I have only been a member for two weeks I guess it will take a little longer to see results. Hope all you girls are doing well and eating right. I am munching on some carrots right now. Havve any of you heard about a new plan at WW. I am reading about it on another site. Hello everyone
My compurter would not let me do much yesterday .it was storming again and when it dose it goes off . :( Well I weigh in at 202.0 this morning :D I'm so glad to be losing again. and if i can do it we all can ladys come on lets get these pounds rolling off ,i'm tried of carring mine around .to much work :o My husband woke me up this morning 2 oclock and he up moving around :dizzy: so i'm tried but wanted to get up and see what the scales where doing :lol: I haven't check my sugar this morning but i'm sure dry this morning . Hey i sceen where we had a nother lost ,now who was that ,oh yes it was Venetia good going girl that what we want . I hope we can have a good week this week to . Dixiedarling Now you know you can do this get out of that chair let get to moving we want to lose this weigh and it gonna hurt to do it :lol: I got to push myself to or i'd just set and the air .
