So I've been trying different diets for awhile now - once even went gluten free for 6 months.
The problem I'm having is that... when I first change my diet everything seems to be going great. I'm losing weight, I'm regular, and I'm happier. ( And because of this I do not cheat on my diets )
Then after two weeks, it just stops. I go back to being sluggish, difficulty sleeping, no longer regular, and the weight seems to come back almost exponentially.
It's very difficult to keep track of...
Anyone have the same problem and have found a solution?
Or even suggestions
As far as going to the doctors - I've had a LOT of blood work done lately. All of it inconclusive.
There was one incident where I vomited blood at work one day and all the blood work stated from that was that I had become anemic ( on top of my thalassemia. ) This has since been resolved.
My doctor doesn't really want to focus on anything other then what's wrong with my stomach ( apparently during a CT scan they found lots of lymphnodes around my stomach, so I'm getting an LDH blood test soon )
But my other blood work states that: Cholesterol is not only normal but it's great, Thyroid is fine, Metabolism is normal, No diabetes, etc;
He tells me I just eat too large of portions, but I don't think that could really be it because my portions aren't large. I use those small plates instead of the big ones and most often only get one serving.
What's wrong with your diet? For me, just eat right and workout correctly. Do it and keep doing it. It won't happen fast, but it will happen. Be consistent. Never stop. Work hard and stay dedicated. Don't be satisfied until you get EXACTLY what you want. And like magic... weight loss happens. Actually the best weight loss program is the safest one. Exercise, healthy lifestyle (what you eat and what you do, eg., sleep on time) and positive outlook. Refuse from poisoning your body with all the chemicals from pills. If you want to try taking diet pills, its better to select those which are made from all natural sources. They may take time, but at least it won't give you negative side-effects. There are some pills like that, and some reviews may say that they may not prove to be very effective if you want instant results, but would work slowly but surely. I would gladly recommend CENALEX, and that's based on experience. I availed of their free trial online, and I like it. I don't think there is an issue buying products online, as long as you have done your research. However, it really depends on what kind of products and what your weight loss goals are.
2 things spring to mind reading your thread. At the 2 week mark, it could be your metabolism is slowing. First 2 weeks for most people are great, there can be a great loss of water alone, then it slows. This is where exercise comes in and increases your metabolism again, but its hard when you are already feeling lethargic to motivate yourself (I know, been there!).
The other thing that comes to mind, do you take any medication? Do you take any vitamins? I take a lot of pain-killing stuff (opiates) and a side effect is that they make me feel very tired and lethargic, so I take a combination of vitamins (B Complex, Omega 3-6-9, Coenzyme Q10 and a pro and pre-biotic multi-vitamin) that counteract the drowsiness. A couple of these deal with release of energy throughout the day, one helps with keeping my stomach working properly and keeps me regular. They all help replace any vitamins that my body is missing through being on a diet.
This could be something to try, whether its caused by medication or lack of vitamins in your diet, it could make a difference.
Try recording all your food intake/portion sizes with a food diary like fit day. You may either be surprised or you can take it to your dr and show him your eating right.
Also hon be sure to get a second opinion and see a specialist. Try to get them to focus on the whole pic instead of one or two problems. Googling your issues can also help if your careful.
