Hi andreaphilip3,

I am not taking meds now, I took Buspar all last summer about 3 months. It was a life saver b/c I couldn't sleep either. No sleep and anxiety ridden is not a pretty combo. It did take a few days for the Buspar to work, a little longer than xanax. Hope you feel better soon.

i take .25 at bed time to help me sleep&then when i see my chiropractor(major anxiety!) I TAKE .25 in the morning&.5 before i go. usually i dont take anymore than that, but the day b/f yest i ended up with that plus an added .25.... tough day.

hi andreaphilip3
nice to have you onboard!

hi daytona
I'm enjoying the summer break - so far so good! today I even amazed myself by driving on a 3 lane highway (if only for a short while) but I put it down to a step in the right direction.
Things are pretty stressful right now - I am not getting too enough restful sleep and I keep stressing about even the smallest things. I'd love to be more relaxed.

hugs to all
MyGirl

Hi all,

Sounds like we are all on the panic attack bandwagon. Thank goodness for Rx!!! I am still not out of the dieting funk and am currently convinced that all this careful dieting stuff is for the birds. It's time for me to get some LIVING done instead of waiting around to lose weight.

Things that have helped me are:
avoiding caffeine
letting each day be what it is
getting a lot of sleep
not watching the news (or much TV at all, for that matter - look at the anxious pace of all those commercials and you'll see what I mean)
riding my beach cruiser (and flirting with cute cyclist guys)

Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

jennifa,

you are so right. right now, my main sources of triggering anxietyare:

pain& drs. i hurt my back a few months ago& the stress of not bein able to do what i want can trigger it as well as the pain itself. as for drs, due to a fairly recent event in which i was nearly raped by a dr has instilled tremendous amounts of fear&anxiety about being under a male physicians care for my back&the worst part is, i have no choice. 1x month disaster strikes when i need to see this dr&i hate it b/c it ends up in an attack.

hi all!

im under major stress with my back, had a really bad week with the chiropractor. the ajustments are gettin bad again, i get so stressed thats its impossible for him to crack my back, dunno what to do, already increased my medication a little to see if that would help, but it hasnt. prob with that is, my body develops a really fast tolerance to increase so it either has no effect, or the effect only lasts a week or two.

well sweetie, ive bored you all long enough. have a great day! ttyl

Hi all,

Andrea, I am (trying!) following the Blood Type diet. You can find some more info at www.dadamo.org. It has really
helped a lot of symptoms but you have to be in a happy enough place where you can stick like glue to a strict eating plan. Weight watchers it is not. But it does help. Another diet that is EXTREMELY great is Deepak Chopra's Perfect Weight. He can help you get your body's hunger levels back to where they should be.

Good luck with your docs. It is so hard to explain "freaky" things to people who don't have this anxiety deal - they just don't get it and they never will. Well, that's why we're here. Don't forget you have every right to change doctors if you feel like it.

Of course I am not in that magic happy place so right now I'm doing whatever I want and staying physically active. I am tired of waiting to lose weight so I can give myself validity as an attractive woman. In fact, I am going to get head shots done soon and start doing some plus size modeling. SO THERE everybody who thinks you have to be skinny.

You are valid no matter what you weigh.

Calming thoughts to all,

Jennifa
