I guess I belong here?

  • When I was 8 weeks pregnant I broke my ankle and tore a whole in my cartilage. Once I had the baby I was set up for surgery. I had it last month and am unable to walk on it at all. I started watching my calories yesterday and I guess I am doing ok with that. Hungry alot Anyways the baby is 9 weeks old and I have yet to loose anything!!!! After having a baby I usually shed pounds quickly. I guess since I couldnt really exercise I am not able to loose the weight as fast as I would have hope. Does anyone think palates or something like that would work?
  • MANDY ~ I think that I replied to this post before the crash, but just in case you didn't see it ... WELCOME TO 3FC's site, and yes, I really think PILATES, YOGA, TAI CHI, CHAIR AEROBICS, HAND WEIGHTS, and SWIMMING would help you to get into shape again. Just remember that it has only been 9 weeks or more since you gave birth. Someone once said 'that it took you 9 months to create the baby, so you should give yourself at least that much time to heal and get into shape again.'

Sounds like good advice to me, esp if you are nursing; you will need to make sure you are getting enough to eat during that time as well. Hope this is helpful to you somehow; and that we'll see you around the boards too ...
