Hi Tammy - glad that your exercise program is working well for you and that your range of motion is improving. That IS a big deal! Good for you on that weight loss. It is soooooo hard to lose it and KEEP it off. That seems to be even harder. Weightwatchers believes that it takes 16 weeks to change a habit. I think we get right back into MOST of them, no matter HOW long we have been away from them.

Food plays such a significant roll in our lives. Where do we go where there isn't food around? It is part of socializing. Willpower is great, but a lot of time, especially when we are tired and hurting, it somehow takes second place.

Mima - You sound busy. It seems to be a constant struggle in your house, with getting stuff done. Why not sell it, and buy yourself a condo, that needs NO upkeep by you. Especially when you leave for the winter. Just shut the door and go. It would be sooooo much easier on you.

Joanne - Oatmeal has sugar in it? Just the prepackaged kind. I buy plain oatmeal and it is just oats and it takes about 4 minutes to cook. Lately, I have been eating SUNNYBOY CEREAL for breakfast. That is soooo good, and I like it a LOT better than oatmeal. You just have to cook it for 3 minutes and let it sit for 2. I don't know if you have that in the USA or not. The one I buy comes from right here in Alberta. It is a blend of wheat, rye and flaxs. Loaded with fiber and tastes good with just a bit of brown sugar and milk.

I agree with not buying ice cream. I do that as well. If it's here, it seems to call (make that SHOUT) my name. If it isn't, no problems.

...................... Here's a little laugh for all of you and it IS a good question........

The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I was taken aback, for I do not think of myself as old. Upon seeing my reaction, she was immediately embarrassed, but I explained that it was an interesting question, and I would ponder it, and let her know.

Old Age, I decided, is a gift. I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be.

Oh, not my body! I sometime despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggy eyes, and the sagging butt. And often I am taken aback by that old person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother!), but I don't agonize over those things for long.

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.

I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon?
I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60&70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love .....I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And Eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion.

A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.
I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day. (If I feel like it)

Mima 10-14-2007 07:06 AM

Except for my body hurting , I love my age and you are right about the friends and all that other stuf.
We can't sell the house because my husband still works and we have 2 garages filled with his stuff-and a shed too. Believe me, I lived in a condo and I would go there in a minute. Someday, he won't be able to wotk but he loves it and he loves building, and I have to accept the fact that he won't change. Just that next year he has to finish projects in our house. He also built this house. I get relief being in Fl but he always figures out ways to do stuff there. He has to change the ac so it is quieter there and then we are going to put in a new floor because tan rugs do not do it all over the house-especially the entry. He even changes things in the lanai where his trains are. I never know where I will wash because he changed the washer and dryer location. I guess that's what keeps him going. I told him he has ADD. That's the story,
We called Brad's br and they are going with us to Springfield-he hasn't been yet. Then we are going out to eat at the super buffet-his wife is Cambodian and only likes that kind of food-super buffet is good because of the choices.
Brr-it's cool here. Mima

Tammy 10-14-2007 07:19 PM

Mima, right now I think things are going to be ok with Bob and the alcohol. I honestly believe that this episode scared him, and that is a good thing!

Anne, I have belonged to Weight Watchers a few times. It seems like when I am attending meetings, I don't lose. When I quit and do it on my own, I seem to lose. lol

We are going away next weekend! I decided that Bob needs to get away, so I made reservations in the town where Tim goes to school. He has to work next weekend, so when he isn't working, he can come over to the hotel and visit. There is a pool and a whirlpool, and I think that will be nice. Bob said with the weight he's lost, he'll lose his swim trunks! He's probably right.
There is a mall in town, so I can go there sometime over the three days.

Mima 10-15-2007 06:21 AM

Great idea, Tammy.
We went to Springfield with Brad's br and wife. Sherrill was happy to see him and looks like they are planning to go there again because he was copying down the rte. Then we went to the restaurant but got a little lost getting there-The gps was out of whack again. And we were out of whack too. Laughed a lot!!!! The buffet was good.
Today I get a massage at 11-dentist at 2 and then I am going to pick up a stroller and swing for Jess, Just need a playpack.
It's 36-the heater woke me up. Bye for now-Mima

Tammy 10-15-2007 09:59 PM

LOL about the gps! laughing is a great thing!!!

Bob gained 5 pounds since he weighed last week!!!!! Woo hoo!! Only 20 more to go to be back at his normal weight. Today he definitely had an appetite for the first time since before he went to the hospital.

Mima 10-16-2007 05:14 AM

That is super-imagine being happy over gaining 5 lbs-(joke)! He really is progressing.
Boohoo red Sox. One game at a time.
I picked up the stroller and swing-really nice. 30$!
Bobby and a friend are coming over next week to help Brad finish up.
I had a nice massage yesterday but my back still hurts. I will get a shot if I have to.
We were warm last night from heat on downstairs,\.
Bye for now Mima

Joanne D 10-16-2007 10:32 AM

Hey There

Happy- Yes the oat meal I found has sugar in it. I have been reading the labels of just about all package goods I buy. I looked in W/M for the surgarless and they had the same kind I already have..Quaker Oats..
Tammy- I would shout for joy to lose 5 pounds.. It looks like your hubby is headed in the right direction.. Our son had his bloodwork done and his enzemes were up. The Dr. said it may be because of the herbal meds he has been taking.. We hope that is all it is.. They took him off of all meds. Not even to take a asa. He is getting more tests...He used to drink too much. He doesn't touch a drop now.. Getting religion helped there..
Mima- 36 ,it looks like it is getting cold up there. We are still warm.. ac running a lot.. We still need rain here in our area..the weeds are drying up..That is one thing that won't die though.
Hello Meme...
Joanne

Tammy 10-16-2007 10:29 PM

I'd be jumping for joy losing 5 pounds too! I wish he could take some of mine.

Bob is only taking the meds that were prescribed, nothing herbal at this time. Maybe in the future.

My BIL called from Tampa tonight. He mentioned how warm it is there. It wasn't bad here yesterday, about 80. Today was cooler especially when it became cloudy.

I met with the teachers after they got out of school today. We had a nice visit. Lots of laughs. Some of the retired ones are getting together for lunch next week.

Mima 10-17-2007 07:31 AM

Have to be careful of herbs and prescriptions together.
The Red Sox lost again. Cleveland wants it so bad-one more chance on Thurs. At least the Yankees are out.
Josh wanted to move in next week because he can't have his hotel room but he works at night and sleeps during the day so that wouldn't work-we won;t be done. We thought he could sleep in the camper for a week. He came here last night-wow -does he have nice clothes. I gave him some rice and beans that I made.
Well-back to work-Mima

Tammy 10-18-2007 07:30 AM

My SIL's mother is a big Cleveland fan since that's where she lives. I'm sure she'll be watching the game.

How old is Josh? I like beans and rice. Bob isn't thrilled with them. lol

I'm taking Kramer to the doggy hotel. Getting carpets cleaned today, then he'll be there until Sun. night or Mon. morning since we're going away over the weekend.

Mima 10-19-2007 05:42 AM

I am glad you are getting a breather, Tammy.
We can actually see the end of the construction. What a help Billy was. And I can't believe I am surviving the painting. Today I am going to Woman's Bible Study=that's a break and I will have my favorite Chai Tea Latte.
The Red Sox won!! Back to Boston. And we can see that the Indians want it so bad.
Jessica is still doing well-doc says she is close. She
is going crazy buying everything.
Bye for now and hi everyone. Mima

Mima 10-22-2007 06:45 AM

Hi-stayed up til midnight to watch the Red Sox win!!!!!Wow,
Ever since I started to eat an apple every day, my stomache has been better??????
Mima

Tammy 10-22-2007 10:11 PM

I was sound asleep while you were watching the Red Sox win. I'm sure my brother's MIL was up watching the Indians lose.

Maybe I should start eating an apple a day. I've been hurting so bad the past few days. weather change? who knows.

Hope eveyone is doing ok!!

Mima 10-23-2007 06:30 AM

Hope you had a good weekend.
I got all the paint off and recaulked the sink but the paint came off so I will touch it up today. Josh was moving in his stuff last night -but he has to sleep in the camper.
I'm so excited-we are going to visit Brad's sister and then go to Suoer walmart on the way home-last shopping before FL. Hope to leave that second week/
I found a playpack-what we used to call a playpen-online-hope it's not sold. Bye for now Mima

Joanne D 10-23-2007 10:43 AM

Hey There

Tammy- You are not by yourself. My shoulder that I fell on has been giving me a fit. More so at night than in the daytime.. I am just eating the advil.. Our sons latest bloodwork came back normal. They think he was taking too many/much herbal meds. I hope he has cut them all out.. If nothing else maybe he will watch his diet closer..He has this idea that low fat etc is not as good as the other foods.. I told his wife to not tell him it is lowfat. He won't know the difference..She made some diabetic muffins.. He wouldn't touch them after she told him they were diabetic..My hubby was very much the same.. Now he just keeps quiet and eats what I give him, although ,he still wants his spagetti with ragu now and then. I just put turkey in it instead of beef. He doesn't know the difference..
Mima- It is still steaming down here.. We are hoping for some cooler weather.Looks like you are getting excited waitng for the new G/baby...I would be too. That isn't likely to happen for some time..Our G/daughter called last night.. She was 26 yesterday.. She thinks she is getting old!!!
Hello Happy,Meme... Joanne

Good morning. I guess it's that painful time of year, yet again - the change of season. Soon it will settle into winter (at least here, it will be cold and dry and I will feel a LOT better painwise)

Mima - not long before you go to Florida. I am sure you are excited about that. Good that the renter is getting moved in now.

Tammy - sorry to hear you are in pain. Hope it settles down. Glad you had a good weekend.

Joanne - seems like old injuries hurt a lot in season changes. My elbow is giving me trouble, the one I hurt in the accident 5 years ago!!! Hopefully, it will settle down soon, as it is the right one and I am forever moving it. I agree with your son, that low fat diets don't really work. Fat is a satisfier so you need to have it, but you need to choose the good fats, not the saturated fats. I don't care for ground turkey or chicken, but I use beef sparingly. I do cook lots of chicken and fish as well.

We were in Edmonton on the weekend. It was my daughter's 40th birthday, and we all had a really good time. Lot's of visiting with family members.

Heard from Candice. They haven't moved yet, but they will be soon. The house is in town now instead of out in the country, so that will be different for them. She hasn't been feeling too bad. She hopes to get back here as soon as she gets a new computer. The old one won't let her on as she doens't have enough RAM left. She says to say "hi".

Mima 10-24-2007 05:17 AM

Computers only last about 4 years-can you believe that-I am sure this one is on it's way out but the new ones are so cheap-I once pd 1400 for an HP.
Today is Jessica's due date.
The playpack was sold. Guess I will break down and buy a new one-she still has money.
Wonderful prayer meeting last night.
When this is over-I will get my back straightened out-I am so glad nothing else is bad.
I would watch out for herbs with scripts if I were your son, Joanne. I put flax in hubby's food and don't tell him but don't put it in gravy. Awful!
Bye for now mima

Joanne D 10-24-2007 07:08 PM

Hey There

Mima- Believe me his wife and I told him about those herb meds.. We never know just what is in them and mixing them with script meds is bad business..
We finally got some rain.. It will dry out fast.. We have been watching the fires in Ca. That is just heart breaking for those people..
Happy this shoulder pain (R) is new.. I fell a week or so again.. Ofcourse the old hurts have developed arthritis so they hurt too with the change of weather.. At my age that is expected ,I guess.Yes we need some fats but not the wrong kind.. I tend to limit some and am trying to limit carbs. I was doing really well for awhile but being just human I tend to fall back into bad habits.. The Dr. says I am diebetic and so you see that is another battle to contend with.We had a speaker ar Tops last week that handed out rubber bands.. We were supposed to wear them to remind us not to eat the wrong things..WELL!!! It hasn't done very much for me this week.. Guess I need to wear 2 and go another week!!!I will take a poll this week and see how many it helped..
Tammy- I am not a baseball fan either.. We do watch the Bucs(football). We understand some of it.I think it is the pectin in the apple that is supposed to help us. I should buy some too..
Bye...Joanne

Tammy 10-24-2007 08:57 PM

Joanne, glad to hear about his bloodwork being normal. That herbal stuff can do a number on people too. I try to do little tricks when I'm cooking also. I've been trying to do healthy things because I know that Bob needs to change some of his eating habits. It's going to take a while to get him convinced!! It is in the 40's today. I have been shivering most of the day, and we have the heat on. I hope I'm not getting a bug of some kind. I am rarely cold.

We've been watching the fires also. It just makes me feel sick that there isn't something that can be done. Glad you got some rain. It has rained here for a couple of days, and with it turning cooler, I told Bob it will snow by the weekend. I hope not!!!! My BIL and family are big Bucs fans! We were past the stadium when we went to visit them in July.

Anne, happy birthday to your daughter! It's always nice to get together and visit, and just to catch up on what has been happening in your lives. Wonder if Candice will like being in town instead of country? We have lived both places, and I can honestly say I prefer the country. Where we live now only has a few houses on our street, and there aren't any homes or other streets near us. I count it as "almost country".

Mima, our computer has been doing some strange things lately, so I'm sure it will be leaving us. We are planning to get a laptop for when we go to Georgia. I don't know if that will be our only one or if we'll get another desktop also sometime. glad your prayer meeting was good. I went to one last night also. It was really nice. We were doing communion, and my nametag was covered with my jacket, so I whipped it back when I was ready to dip the bread in the wine, so he could see my name. I totally flustered him! I ate dinner with him and our pastor afterwards, and he was still going on about me "flashing" him. the pastor just shook his head. He told me that I always get myself into something. lol

Tomorrow I have chiropractor and a membership committee meeting for the County Retired Teachers. I was invited the last time because they want someone to take over the head person's position of the committee. It's not going to be me! I just can't do it.

Have a great day!!

Happy Canuk 10-24-2007 10:57 PM

Hope you are all well. Having a Fibro flare here. So tired. Going back to lay down.

I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with more energy.

Take a moment, if you can, and watch this.

Mima 10-25-2007 05:58 AM

Good Morning

Hi-Didn't expect 13-1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sherrill looked like a new person and it was only 35 minutes to see her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Facility is only 3 years old.
I think my phone is broken-it doesn't pay to get new batteries. Phones are cheaper.
Disappointed in the Superwalmart except for the Blue Bunny ice cream. No added sugar banana split!!!!!!!!!!!!Brad's fave.
Going to paint today-have to also get ready for group coming. Tomorrow is my favorite day-Billy and Brad are going to clean.
My daughter bought a Rav 4.
Jessica is still waiting. She sats it's going to be a full moon so she will probably go this weekend.
Sorry for everyone hurting.
One day at a time for me.
That was beautiful-Ecclesiastics.
Bye for now. Mima

Tammy 10-25-2007 02:28 PM

Anne, I hope you are feeling better and have more energy today. I loved the link that you posted! Part of the song is the ringtone on my phone!

Mima, lol about the phone. Bob just said the same thing! I really like our SuperWalMart. I shop there regularly.

Just returned from my committee meeting. One of the women just talks way too much. another woman told her to be quiet today until we got organized, and told her she could talk while we put address labels and stamps on post cards. We were finished in less than 45 minutes. The last time we met it went on for almost 2 hours because she wouldn't stop talking!!

There is a nice restaurant here in town that Bob has never been to. I've been there with friends for lunch, but I've never been there for dinner because of the price mostly. I have a card for Buy 1, get 1 Free. I told Bob we are going there for dinner, we'll eat part of what we order and bring the rest home for dinner tomorrow. The card cost $25.00, and we've already saved that much at other places that we regularly go. This will be a treat. Bob said he wants a steack. I think most of those are close to $30 for a dinner. If we both got that, we could save $30. I usually get chicken or fish though. BUT if we get 4 nice meals for $30, that's a good deal!

Mima 10-26-2007 05:24 AM

I love those cards-we had one in FL and saved money but then we didn't go far enough to use it.
Brrr-it's cold. I must have had 3 naps yesterday and slept all night! I didn't watch the game and didn't have a good feeling about it but they won 2-1!!!
Like 2004. Wonder what will happen in Colorado. Even if they lose, they will come back here for 6 and 7.
Bible group coming tonight. I am going to keep it simple. Apple crisp-peanut butter squares and crackers and cheese. Coffee, tea and soda.
Suzanne's bf might not have to go to Iraq-they only need one machinist and they have 3.
Billy is coming today to help clean and whatever. We only have 5 days left to work. Well, that makes me nervous. I have a mammo on Monday and flu shot and rheumo on Tuesday. Brad has heart doc on Monday. And Josh is sleeping in the camper. I keep putting towels out-I feel like I am running a B and B.
Have fun at the restaurant. Tammy. Hope you are better, Anne. Hi Joanne and Meme. Mima

Tammy 10-26-2007 04:03 PM

The weather is crazy again. It's in the 70's today. Beautiful with sunshine. I like this!!

I think your snacks for bible group sound pretty good right now!! We did have a nice dinner last night. I ate some of the leftovers for lunch, and I'll probably have some again for dinner. Bob said that I can have them all because he isn't in the mood for leftovers. lol

Heading to a football game tonight at the school from where I retired. Tim is coming back from college to meet some friends there. He is also bringing along a new friend, a girl. I haven't met her, so I'll get to meet her tonight.

Mima 10-27-2007 05:51 AM

What happened to Jessica? What a great study last night about our attitude to calamities and how God wants us to be always grateful to Him-not for the bad things but that it will bring about good-mostly our realtionship with Him. Sorry to be preach but I am still digesting this.
I only got 6 hours sleep after all-full moon and all.
I wrote up a letter asking people to bring things when someone is hosting-not sure how it was received but I mostly am concerned that the Pastor's wife has a lot of the burden and we should help her. Now I have to let that go.
4 more days to work on the apt-it actually looks doable. Josh came upstairs because all the cars were in his way and he couldn't get out. But then they all left at 10.
Go Red Sox!!. Mima

Tammy 10-27-2007 02:41 PM

Tim told Jessica at the beginning of the summer that he wanted to take a break. We thought they should see other people before they totally committed to each other because Tim had never dated anyone else. Last year I know she was interested in another guy in the band, and she told Tim that. She is now seeing him, and Tim is seeing another girl in the band. Who knows how it will play out!

I think having others help out when someone is hosting is a great idea!

Traycm 10-27-2007 03:32 PM

Wow - this is a great forum

I'll have to read everyone's posts in details, but I love the fact that they have a forum for those with fibromyalgia. I've had it for many years and of course it was misdaignosed for ever. I started my health plan on September 12th and I've lost about 1/4 of the weight I need to lose. I can absoletuly see a difference in my fribro "fog" - I have much more mental clarity. My feet and fingers are not so swollen, and I feel so much better. I actually only feel like sleeping at night whereas before I went on my plan, I took a nap right after work, and slept a lot on the weekends. i think it goes hand in hand with feeling exhausted and hopeless - I've been fat for years and now I can actually see a light at the end of the tunnel! I feel better and that is just awesome!

Joanne D 10-28-2007 10:41 AM

Hey There

Welcome Tracy-- Good weight loss. Keep up the good work and you will be down those pounds you want to lose before you know it..
Tammy-- It was a good idea for your son to see other girls.. There is plenty of time when he is out of school to get serious about one.. We tried to tell out son that and he didn't listen. And he paid the price..They were married 7 awful years and then went their different ways.. He didn't remarry for 20 years. No children except stepchildren and thats a sad story..
Mima- No baby yet?Have a safe trip down.. It is still in the 80's here.
Hello Happy,Meme...Joanne

Mima 10-29-2007 05:30 AM

I forgot to post yesterday-Caleb was born on Sat-7 lbs 14 oz which is the same as his mother was-My stepson seems so proud to be a Grandpa at 40. We will go down next weekend. Please pray for her. She will be a good mom but it's her first.
We went to Brett and Angela's church yesterday-it was very nice-they did Praise hymns like McGregor. Words on the screen and very peppy. I gave the kids their presents-Debbie thought she should be able to play with Keith's blocks. That will be funny.

We have 3 days to finish the apt-Tile work today-oil burner cleaned. I have to paint even though I am hurting. It's so cold and Josh ran out of heat but he went to a hotel last night-I am sure to watch the games on tv. He is a sports nut. Brad has to go to the heart doc and I have a mammo. Tomorrow I go to rheumo and have a flu shot.
Way to go Red Sox-I watched the first 3 innings and Brad watched the last 2.
Hi Tracy-welcome. Mima

Tammy 10-30-2007 03:25 PM

Welcome Tracy!!

Joanne, your son's situation is exactly what we had talked to Tim and Jessica about. They didn't want to hear it of course, but I think things finally started sinking into Tim's brain last spring. That's why he thought the summer off would be good. Now it sounds like it's more than the summer off since they are both dating other people. Tim's new friend seems very nice. I didn't get to spend much time with her at the game of course. She is cute and very outgoing. They both smiled alot while they were there. lol

Mima, congrats on Caleb!! Congrats to the Red Sox also!!

Remember last spring when I was called at the last minute to take over a position on an Emmaus Walk? Well, it happened again. One of the assistant table leaders has been ill, and she won't be able to be there this weekend. They asked me to fill in, and of course, I said yes. Might do Bob and I good to have some time away from each other!! lol I go Thursday night, and I'll be back home on Sunday night. I know I'll be tired, but I always have a wonderful experience when I am there. God always shows up!!

Mima 10-31-2007 05:14 AM

That's great, Tammy. Sounds like it will be a good experience-again!!
CRUNCH DAY-Have to finish everything up and waht we don't get done-we will do at night, after Josh goes to work. If he allows it but how can he refuse. Billy is coming.
Most painful Mammo-I hadn't taken my fibro med but I think the girl was a bit rough. Of course, I had to have 2 extra pics. Hope I don't have to have more but if I do I hope it's not the same tech or I will double my pain med.
Also had 2 blood draws-one didn't work-a shot in my leg and a flu shot. I managed to watch some of the Red Sox parade-awesome. And paint and caulk downstairs.
We need God to show up today!! And He will!!!!
Happy Halloween-I will be downstairs working while they come trick or treating and I will be so tired I will eat the leftover candy. I just remebered-I had a large 3 Muskateers-my first lunch-before the Mammo and sugar is not good for Fibro.
I cried when I talked to Jessica-picturing her as a Mom. She said Caleb slept 5 hours straight the night before but she thought he was going to wake up so she didn't sleep. She will learn. Can't wait to see him. He is half Dominican so he will be dark.
Bye for nowMima

Tammy 10-31-2007 06:09 AM

Sorry about the pain with the mammo! I've always had good luck with them. I haven't had a 3 Musk. for ages! Sounds good. I'd be excited about seeing Caleb too!!

Not much planned for today except get things together for the weekend. I have aerobics at 6:30, then I have to take my stuff over to the church about 8:30 for set up. By taking it tonight it isn't so hectic when all of the Pilgrims (new people) come in.

have a great day everyone!!

I'm flying in on my broom this morning - my new mode of transportation for the day;)

Mima - so you are getting down to the wire! You will get it done, but please don't overdo it. Mammograms can be uncomfortable at times, that is for sure. I have never had a really painful one, though. Perhaps if they have to do more, they will do the ultrasound, at least that is painless. I would have thought they would have done any thing additional right then and there. They do here. You always have to wait while they check, and if they see something you have to have further testing, right then and there.

Congrats on that new little baby. I am sure it will take awhile for Jessica to get used to the baby, but she will. I don't think I have EVER eaten a 3Muskateer Bar. Be careful with the candy if you don't want IBS problems as well.

Tammy - enjoy your experience this weekend. You deserve a break. Glad the kids decided to date others. They are too young to make that big decision with first seeing who else is out there. They may end up together in the long run, and that would be great too.

I am going to get in touch with the PT at the hospital and see what I must do to get into their pool. It is much warmer than the local pool. They do have aquasize there for people with FM and OA so wish me luck. Got my meds changed yesterday, when I was at the Dr. The hallucinations need to stop. I never even used to dream, and these are just too real! Said it happens to some people with that beta blocker. Wish me luck with the new one.

I hope you all have a pleasant day. Hi Joanne. Hope you are keeping well.

Anne, I'm picturing you on your broom!! lol I hope you are able to get into the warmer pool. I know the one at the Y isn't kept as warm as it used to be, and sometimes it is too uncomfortable for me. I hope the new meds work better for you!!!! I agree about the dreams. Different meds do that to me too.

Hi Tammy. Looks like my broom took me someplace else first

HEY! That witch wasn't there when I was here earlier!!! Love it!! I think it looks more like me though. lol

Just returned from taking my stuff to the church. I think it will be a good weekend. Everyone was very welcoming to me.

Good morning. I agree about the warm pool. That's what we have in FL but we also have that at the Y and the exercise center nearby,
We did it-Finished around 8 last night. We have lots of little things left but it was surely presentable. I will not go down ther today!!!
Only had 4 kids for Halloween-now I have to hide the leftover candy. From me-I did have 2 butterfingers and yes, I have a bit of IBS-!!
She took 2 extra pics because they were not clear. But the radiologist does not read them til the next day. Or?? That's when they might call me back.
Love your pic, Anne.
Gotta get caught up here. Billy is coming back on Sat to clean.
Bye for now Mima Have a great weekend, Tammy!!!!

PS-Suzanne just called me-she is engaged. He took her grandmother's diamond and had it made into a setting with 3 diamonds on each side of it. And they want to get married in April because he will be shipped to Kuwait.

Awesome!!! There's already 200 people-he has a large family. Just waiting for them to have some time to discuss things then watch out for Mima. I saw a pic of the ring and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Been up since 2-lots of small isuues with tenant and miscommunication-boy he sure has boundaries. And the we were at fault. I will give in on one but not the other-he wants us to fill the oil tank and then he will when he leaves. No-we will put in 100 gallons. He also thought he was heating the upstairs too-NOT-we close everything down. These things keep going through my mind-I heard you are supposed to put things in God.s hands-pray for me, Tammy.
Had the weirdest thing yesterday-I had a lupus like rash on my face and felt awful. Looked on the net and it says you could get a reaction like that to chemicals-hmmm-or meds. Besides all the paint, I took 2 seratonin with my other meds at night. Don't know which it was. My basal temp was down to 96.9. I am better today.
