hello

  • Hi everyone:
I used to hang out here quite a bit, but have let a few things go this past year.
I started having quite a lot of arthritis like pain, and since I am allergic to many pain meds, have had difficulty with this.
I am been more active than ever, getting out for more walks and doing hot yoga.

Just this last week, I cut out "nightshade" vegetables on the advice of my osteopath. And it worked! the pain got better. I wasn't sure if it was all in my head, but last evening had some tomato sauce in the lasagna I had at a friends house, and was plagues by pain much of the night.
SO tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and potato are now off the list. Add that to my citrus allergy and I will be a difficult guest.

I hope everyone is well and having a good Christmas.
And thanks for the message Carol Sue!
  • So happy to hear from you, Mad! You have been missed. Nightshades are said to be a problem with psoriasis, also. I have tried cutting back, but have never cut them out completely. Maybe I should try it, as I also have arthritis problem, that could be psoriatic arthritis. I don't want to take meds for it since I am on so many others, plus, I have to watch what I take because of my heart disease. If it's not one thing, it's another.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Mad, and also to all the others on the board, posters and lurkers the same!
  • Hi, welcome back.
