We have history of diabetis. This is the reason why I'm really cautious on what I eat. My father was paralyzed by this disease.

FBS 106
Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. I just wanted to pop in and say I lost my first 10lbs! I am on Nutrisystem D and loving it. My blood sugar has dropped from 143 to 106 since diagnosed May 13th. I am going to my diabetes class on Tuesday and picking up a prescription for my supplies.

I will be sewing all day today, got to finish my new grandbaby little girl's quilt.

Take care and blessings,

Whew! I sure hope I get a good reading tomorrow as I have been doing hard physical work for the past three days. It's gardening but I love it despite a lot of lifting and bum knees. When I plant I can't kneel so I bend from the waist. That has to count, right? I am drooling just thinking of fresh tomatoes, beans and cucumbers plus squash in the fall!

Still suffering more or less silently -- the visit to the specialist did not improve things. He is definitely thinking something that includes neither Pneumonia or Asthma. Now I'm just trying to stay calm until after we get the results of the CAT scan (Monday) and the latest test; a Bronchoscopy (Tuesday). Yep, they definitlely like to stick lighted tubes just about anywhere these days.

and at Rosey and Meowee. Did not see the scale budge an ounce this morning but the BGL was good. I can't carry on gardening today because of the rain - and more to come! Ah well, at least I'll have squash, cukes and tomatoes. Right now I'm fighting the urge to have a nap - the dogs have just settled in on the couch.

My wife also just started Nutri-system D and so far she is enjoying it. I really hope we see some positive results from this! I will update our progress in a week or so!

Hey all,
I have been busy the last 2 weeks with the end of school and other kid and family things. Got home from Chicago this evening. I am worn out, and not at all looking forward to going to work in the morning. I don't even want to unpack the car! But I will, because the glucometer is still in there and my meds. I don't have to like it though
Got to see some family that I hadn't seen in years though a happy coincidence. Or an act of God. Learned some interesting family history--answering a few questions that have been around awhile.
Gotta get all the critters and daughter settled so I can go to bed. Catch up with all of you later. Meowee, I hope you get some answers soon. Still worried about you.

Kathy

Good morning, Chickies.

Welcome back, Tapping Peony. You were missed but it sounds like you had a good visit with family.

Rosey, sounds like you had a good weekend, Socializing is good, especially in sunshine!

For some reason my BGL is 8.0/144 this morning, way too high for me. It's been slowly creeping up over the past few days - not from bad food choices either! I have really been "on the go" so it could be stress.

This morning I must plan some quick meals. I seem to have a lot of things that start at 6:30 or even 5:30 and have not been eating proper meals. We'll see if planning better can alleviate the problem.

Raising my coffee mug to a terrific Tuesday.

Hi everyone, glad to read you are doing good. Meowee I hope you get better and get at least some answer.

My FBGL has been in the low 90's and even my after meals readings are around those numbers, the exercise is helping indeed. Last week was kind of rough and I felt like eating the world...TOM was around the corner.

Let's behave and have a great day everyone!

Cool

Hi, all. BGL holding steady. Overcast today. Our usual summer weather. The scale is going up instead of down. My bad. Sigh.
Rosey - Glad you're having fun with your family. Thought about you yesterday when one of the attys came back from an Alaskan cruise. He said the weather was beautiful. He brought me back some taffy from Juneau. Just what I need --- not!
Meowee - I sure hope that they figure out what is wrong with you and that it can be vanquished with a pill or a shot.
Ruth -- You are so lucky to have a garden. I don't even have room for a plant in my tiny apartment.

My ticker is lying as I'm still up. BGL was 3.5/63 this morning, probably because I did not eat a good dinner last night. I didn't get home until 8:30 and just had a snacky meal.

Today has to be better. I am working at a church dinner tonight which is complete food porn. Luckily I'll be sick of the look of the carby food by the time it's over and will be able to eat real food when I get home. Chili and a salad will look good.

Rosetta, yes, I'm very lucky to have a garden although I crab a lot about the work. My poppies and lupines are just about the same as my avatar right now.

Renacer, good work on the exercise and good readings. I sure don't miss that TOM guy. What a jerk! And somewhat unpredictable too.

Sure would be nice to hear from Meowee but I know it takes a while to get the results of these tests so we wait and send good vibes.

Have a great Wednesday.
