"Diabetes Eye-Q"

  • Here's another one of those extremely imformative little ten question quizzes from D:Life that I though you might all enjoy . . . http://www.dlife.com/dLife/do/ShowQuizPage?quizId=22
  • I've had diabetes just over 17 years now and I'm only 18 but my eyes have already started to bleed. I think it's a good website, but sadly I dont think (in this country anyway) that there is enough diabetic support, so the stats really don't surpise me!

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Oh SPOZ . . . so sorry to hear that . . . hopefully getting better control will prevent the problem from getting worse. Also sorry to hear that support for diabetics is not that great in the UK. Here in Canada, and in the US, it is pretty good. Unfortunately, in North America, the average diet is so dreadful -- focussing on so much high GI carb intake -- that Type II Diabetes is getting worse and worse.

Hope you'll join us on the regular "Dieting with Diabetes" chat thread.
  • Meowee It's pretty much the same here, following America the Uk is now the worst for numbers of bad health and obesity. I've found most people I've grown up with that have diabetes don't have any control either but I was happy to read the government is now funding a large support charity. Glad to hear it's good in Canada though! The only way is forward ..
