Default starting adderall tomorrow -- experiences?

My doc has me trying another med. Strattera and Provigil didn't work; now I'll be taking Adderall. Any advice or experiences would be apreciated.

I have been on Adderall XR for a long time now and thing it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have done a complete 180(so my boss says) I also tried Concerta and it made me jittery.

The only problem I had with adderal was the dry tongue thing. My tongue felt so dry, like it was going to crack and fall off and no amount of water could help.

Thank you!

I took my first dose this morning. So far no bad side effects. I just drank some soda, though, and the caffeine combined wih the Adderall seems to have sped up my heart rate. I didn't notice a rapid heartbeat before I drank the soda... hopefully the caffeine is what is causing it and I can just eliminate caffeine from my diet.

My grandson is in on Adderall, it depresses his appetite, we have to fight him to get him to eat. They carefully monitor his weight every three mos, he has now leveled off and is not losing weight anymore.......and never slows down... lol, typical 9 yr old....

Wow, Indiacatz. I hope the med helps your grandson.

I haven't had any caffeine since starting Adderall, except for that one soda that made me so jittery. Guess I'll just live without it. Although the occasional pice of chocolate doesn't seem like it's doing much damage.
