Good morning, Leenie. I'm still sick but feeling a little better than yesterday. I slept for a good chuck of yesterday and hope to get a few things done today. I didn't walk since I figured that I could barely move. i'm hoping that today I will be able to get in an easy 2 mile walk. Mostly, I want to finish a sweater that was almost done on Friday but I didn't feel good enough to finish.

Take care on the streets. That's a lot of snow you all had.

I have today off so I'm going to rest and just play. TTYL.

good morning gang - I'm going to the dentist at 1:00 today. they are working me in. I figured out that another corner of a big tooth (that they just fixed) is cracked and moves when touched and there must be a straight line down to the nerves bec I'm about to come out of my skin. I can't wait for him to stick a needle in there and deaden my mouth, it'll be pure relief I tell you. Now let's see that will be 5 fillings in a little over 2 weeks. I hope that is it for the year!

Leenie - I saw all that snow on the national news today - wowzers! Hope the roads are safe by the time you have to head out!

MMarie - glad you are feeling a little better today, but I hope you are completely well soon. I know it's miserable to feel bad. I'm hoping that my tooth and ear will quit throbbing by tomorrow morning and that I will be able to get up and do my walking - right now it hurts to open my mouth and have air hit the tooth - so I'm laying low until it's fixed.

Hope everybody has a blessed day!

hugs,
Cathy

hi all

i got up early after a restless night and not much sleep and then went back to bed and slept a few hours until midday. still a bit drowsy!

marie hope you're feeling better soon. take it easy with the exercise and take care

cathy your tooth sounds like torture. i'm sorry i didn't suggest it before but you can suck a clove next to the sore tooth or use oil of cloves to get relief

Hey Everybody,

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cathy hope your trip to the dentist was successful.

MMarie glad to hear you are doing a little better.

The past two weeks have been kind of tough. I started working five days at my pre-school. I sure do miss my two days to sleep in and hang out. I just haven't seemed to have much energy for anything but the bare minimum of anything just to get through the day. I know that sounds bad but it isn't really. Just have to get adjusted to my new schedule.

Went to see my nurse at the shrink's office today. I alternate between seeing her and my doc every six weeks. Cathy, I checked my last set of labs for my thyroid numbers and was suprised to find that they did run the T-3 and T-4 tests as well as the TSH. All my numbers looked good so I marked that off my of things to wonder about regardeing my depression treatment.

I also talked to her about light therapy. She didn't know much about it, but seemed open to the idea. She loved the name of this website when I told her about the depression articles. And she suggested I do some research on sleep apnea as well. It made me feel good that she accepted my questions and ideas about other treatments. It was a really good visit. I'm lucky to have such good people to help me.

The diet and exercises have gone by the wayside. I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things as I adjust to this new schedule.

You guys have a good week!!!

Sandy

good morning gang

I feel so much better - got my tooth fixed (again) and it's only a little sore today but not throbbing but the dentist said if I have any more problems with that tooth then he'll have to send me to a specialist and do a root canal. So...... I am praying this is the end of it for now. And I am enjoying my first cup of HOT COFFEE in 6 days!

Sandy/Flagmama - I just want to be sure of something - you said you looked at your bloodwork and that they did run the "T3 and T4" but I want to be sure - does it say FREE T3 and FREE T4 - T3 and T3 Uptake are different tests than FREE T3 (TRIIODOTHYRONINE FREE), and T4 is different than FREE T4 (FREE THYROXINE). If they ran the correct tests it would use that wording not just T4 or T3 or T3 Uptake. Just want to be sure we are talking about the same thing. Also (if you don't mind me asking) - what was your TSH. The ranges have changed to 0.3 to 3.0 and there are a lot of docs that believe that anything over 2.0 indicates a thyroid problem. I know that in my case my TSH was never higher than 2.7 and I now take 5 grains of Armour daily. so I was just curious what your TSH number looked like.

Leenie - how were the roads getting to work yesterday? hope the class goes quickly today.

Sweetpea - thanks so much on the tip about cloves or oil of cloves - I will try to remember that for next time as I seen to have problems with my teeth but I'm really hoping it is done for now. Hope you slept better last night!

Where is Tippy and Cin an the rest of our gang? what ya up to gals?

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY CHICKADEES

hugs,
cathy

Hello Hello!!!

How's everyone today? It's a little quiet in here so far this week, I hope everyone is just busy and feeling great.

Cathy, I'm so glad that your tooth is feeling better. I have had my share of the dentist in the past year, so I feel your pain! I still have to go back to get a crown put in, so not looking forward to that. Happy Valentine's Day to you too!

Leenie, I hope your class goes well today. We will miss you!

SweetPea, I hope you are feeling better today. Hopefully got some sleep?
Let us know how you are.

Marie, how are you today? Is that cold gone yet? I hope that things are clearing up and you feel like your old self soon. Did you get to finish your sweater? I bet it's really beautiful!

I am having a pretty good day today. The weekend was rough. AF started last week and it's always a pain in the butt. But, I had started feeling really low by Friday evening. DH stated that it must be AF, and I almost agreed until I realized that I haven't felt like this since I started all my meds. Then by Sat. I was having a mild manic episode and of course I'm feeling like I'm gonna crash, hanging on by a fingernail. Obviously something is going on, I've been saying my meds seemed off to me, maybe it's time to bump it up a bit. Gonna call the dr. today. Feeling the way I have, I cannot fathom how I ever got thru life prior to therapy & medication. Sheesh!

Have a great valentine's day ladies! Keep smiling.

Happy Valentines Day to all my ol' pals and the new ones too.

Nothin' new. Just finishing the church record keeping and then I'm heading to the sewing room. Am making four new summer nightgowns since the oldies are so ratty. R still has a cold and I'm still sleeping in the living room. Beats listening to him whine.

SweetPea, AF(Aunt Flo) is just a funny/nice way of saying your 'period' is here. Or TOM, which means 'time of month'. Sorry, I forget and think everyone knows what abbreviations mean!

Hope the accupuncture works!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope that everyone had a great week last week. I took a challenge from Leenie..exercised almost every day and it was good. I showed a loss this week and I also think that good ol sweaty exercise helps keep the blues from getting too severe, (for me).

Sweet pea-- how was the accupucture? Sounds scary to me..I freak out at needles.

Tippy--sorry that you are sleeping in the living room. That doesn't sound like fun.

For those of you dealing with AF, thyroid issues, teeth troubles, etc. You ALL have my sympathy and I hope that things get back to good soon.

Red face A little late...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I saw the doctor today. The 'blister' on the outside of my bad ankle is actually a decubitus (sp?) ulcer which has become infected. He put me on antibiotics, and I'm going to be getting whirlpool treatments to help it heal. Needless to say, he wasn't very happy with me I also received some good news: one of the people who looked at our house last week wants to come back for a second look.

Leenie: Enjoy the snow while it's still around!

Cathy: I hope your tooth is doing better. That would be hard for me to give up my morning coffee

Mmarie: I hope you'll be feeling better soon!

Sweet Pea: I have sleep problems too. I don't know if I'd be brave enought to try acupuncture I'm not a big fan of needles. I hope the treatments work for you.

Tippy: Good to see you! I hope R will be feeling better soon (for the sake of your sanity ). Please let us know how Goldie is doing.

Sandy: I'm glad you're getting such good support. Things should get better once you adjust to your new schedule

Desert Dreamer: Aunt Flo is one relative I don't miss! If you look online for bipolar support (like NIMH), some sites have a journal you can print that will help you track your mood and see any pattern (like your period, sleep pattern, etc.) that can affect your bipolar.

Snoopysgirl: Hope you're doing well

to everyone!
