Gooooooooooooooood Morning Gals,
Oh.....Ruth....it was so nice to get a wave from you!
How about a word or two? How in the world have you been? How is your hubby and family?

Liz.sorry you caught my cold.I knew I should have sprayed Lysol in the Computer room! Mine started 2 weeks ago today and I am not shaking it yet! I will wait until next week if not better head to the Dr. office. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a good day yesterday running errands....love those Dollar Stores!(everything is one dollar)....................I shopped a lot and only bought a little. I am cured of buyng useless items I smack my own hands when I reach for something!

I am going to attempt to make some homemade granola.a low fat version this morning! I bought the many ingredients at a local Co-op yesterday........where you can buy spoonfuls of things like seeds, wheatgerm ect! I love a spoonful on my yogurt and saw a recipe in the paper I wanted to try. I will let you all lknow if it is good or not.

I made red beans and rice in the morning yesterday..............I love preparing supper ahead.Makes it so much easier! We haven't had that for ages.It was good and totally CORE.!

Leens.to answer your question the healthy diet & eating are going fine....maintaining fairly easy as long as I eat the right foods!

Later gals

Good Afternoon!

Hi Leenie! I'm doing okay, considering I haven't done anything my DH asked me to do for him, yet, in the kitchen. We are redoing it, and I need to wrap all the everyday crystal and put them in a box and I also need to empty the household cleaners/chemicals from under the sink, before he gets home from jury duty, so he can remove the countertop and the lower cabinets!

Yes the sun is glowing here in DC

My diet is creeping along. So far I've lost 2 lbs. My excersise is non-existent! I am trying to keep my chin up and have a positive attitude, even though I am mostly a neagative person.

My plans for the weekend are to basically stay out of my DH's way, during the kitchen renovation. I only make appearances when beckoned for. Saturdays are a busy day for us. Both my kids take dance classes, so from 10 - 12 I'll be occupied with them. My daughter has either 1 or 2 book reports that she needs to work on, so I'll be busy with that. I also need to get to church (which rarely happens ) To circulate some Mary Kay flyers for their new holiday line. I ordered new business cards, but if they don't come, I might put church off to next Sunday, because Sunday is normally my weekly wash day.

Love your prayer!

Cathy - I too hope that you're home and that things are back to order. I agree - count your blessings. You are so fortunate to have you electric back on! Yes, please keep us posted.

Ruth - Love your quote! Friends are quiet friends who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. I buried my best friend, a couple of years ago. (3 I think) and another has disappeared from existence! I'm hesitant to call his father, whom I've never met, to find out what's going on.........

CIN - Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood afternoon, How's your cold? Sorry to hear that you haven't shaken it yet. Me and my DH are still hacking our heads off!

Glad to hear that you had a good day yesterday running errands. Me too. Finally got some food in this house that I like! I can't shop a lot and only buy a little. My hand has been heavy on the mouse recently, so I'm hiding stuff from my DH! I need to be like you and start smacking my own hands when I reach/click for something!

I'm not a big granola person. We have a neighborhood health store, where you can buy spoonfuls of things like seeds, wheatgrem, ect. too! I love yogurt too.

You and my DH would get along famously. He loves his red beans and rice. He also loves preparing supper ahead. It does make it so much easier. What is CORE? Anyway, my DH cooks so much more than me, that the kids now ask him what's for dinner, instead of asking me!

Glad to hear that your healthy diet & eating are going fine!

Hi marbleflys! Sorry to hear about the bad case of poison ivy. Luckily I'm immune to poison ivy!

My sneakers are on, but I need to shut my mouth!

Hi everyone.....I am still sick....wheezy at times & coughing....when I try to do any cleaning I just get wiped out....so I am not doing too much...or hardly going anywhere....I just get too tired when I go out....so I am mostly take it easy....like my doctor said to. One good thing...I have slept better the last 2 nights....on the couch with my head elavated....the antibiotic is helping.

Leenie....as for exercise....am not doing any right now.....when I am feeling better....I will walk indoors at the multiplex....it's an ice rink.....where you walk inside on the edges of the building.
I have lost 24.4 lbs. in the last 10 1/2 months.....doing Weight Watchers online....there are ups & down....but am hanging in there.

Sue....I have had asthma & hay fever since I was 13......it went away in my 30's & 40's.....came back in my 50's....the treatments control the asthma a lot better now....when I was a teenager....I often had to sleep sitting up in bed with 4 or 5 pillows in front of me.....I wheezed so bad then.
