Dumps day. I am feeling crummy emotionally. I refuse to leave the house right now b/c I know fast food is calling my name and then I would be really mad at myself.

Ali, see if you can find that movie on cable today....Supersize me. You'll never want to go to Mickey D's again....(the power of suggestion).

When I want that kind of fast food....I recall the fat/calorie content, and pacify myself by making a home version with lower fat....French fries from scratch sprayed with PAM and some seasoning and a couple of tsp. of EVOO taste even better. And OMG has anyone tried the MorningStar Farms phillycheese steak veggie burger? for 120 calories, 10 or 14 grams of protein and 4 grams of fat! slather that baby with grilled onion/mushrooms (done in PAM of course or on an indoor grillie thing) a slice of tomato and you've got a great meal in 5 mins. (30 for the potatoes in the oven).

The Hungry Girl website has all the stats.....for each fast food restaurant and what they suggest is feasible for dieting.

Leenie – that’s great news about your sister!

Ali – WELCOME! I know the feeling about fast food…. Whew! I’ve managed to avoid it for a while… however those buffet places in Vegas and Laughlin did not do me well! And you wonder why they call it Sin City?!

Marble – Oh yes! I saw that movie! UGH! I never really liked McDonalds… I was more of a Yogurt Parfait person… but that movie really turned me off!

We had our summer storms come in… not sure if they are late or early… but they were a doozy! The thunder shook the house and the lightening lit up the sky so bright you would think it was daytime. We were at the supermarket last night when the power went out… we were in the check out line almost about to get through scanning our last bit of food when WHAM! Lights went out. They had some power generators, I guess for their refrigerated food and some security lights… here I was thinking WOOOHOOO we get our food free WRONG they kicked us out So I guess we’re going back today to try again. I hope we have a power outage at work today… even though it’s daylight. Maybe they’ll send us home

Hope everyone is doing well!

SueMarie....I would have grabbed the Ben & Jerry's and made a run for it......I can see my arraignment in court now(Like a law and order episode)......"How does the defendant plead? "guilty by reason of insanity Your Honor". "Your Honor, the people request REMAND without bail, this woman is a repeat offender and given the chance will undoubtedly steal Cherry Garcia ice-cream again".......

Kierie, CONGRATS! I hate my abdomen, it won't go away. I can lose my pants off my hips without unzipping them, but my gut is just THERE.......can I do liposuction home version with my vaccuum?

Marble – Guilty by Reason of insanity due to dieting! Sometimes I go through the same feelings… specially foods that I crave… I keep think.. I can do this I can do this! Those cravings can be really bad! My cravings is for Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Me Up… I’m a peanut butter freak!

Well ladies.. no black out at work today *darn it* but I survived. Kid wants a snack so gonna go fix some stuff. I’ll catch you all later!
