  • "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent."
    Eleanor Roosevelt

You are one special lady to hold your tongue after such an insensitive comment! Just remember that and the quote from Eleanor Roosevelt and never let anyone make you feel that way!

    !

You are the QUEEN of nice!!
  • I seriously believe some people are just sick in the head to come off with such nasty mean spirited comments.
  • I don't have a problem with cofronting and challenging people's rudeness and insensitivety

,,,,,,two things that work well are.........

1.) Why would you say that? What a rude thing to say.

    or

2.) Why would you ask that? or want to know that?

Very calmly and collectively...I don't think you have to be rude but you don't have to be a doormat either. The more you practise the easier it gets.......

    Anyhow just my opinion.....
  • Hello
    You are who you are.
    People love you for that.
    That is important.
You can change yourself for yourself.
    That is up to you.
Have you tried carrying a 25kg sack of cement up the stairs?
    I find it heavy.
Can you imagine being that person with that sack carrying it around every day?
    I have 25kg to loose.
Wow I will be so happy not to have that weight to carry.
Can you imagine how much easier it will be to live with out that weight.
I was comfronted with that. I lifted a bad of cement out of my car and thought gee that is heavy.
Someone dear to me said can you imagine how much easier life would be without that weight.
I thought.... Gosh it is a tremendous amount.
    I cannot carry it.
Well that is exactly what we are doing.
Cruel, hard, sad or sorry we can make such a difference to our health with out it.
    It really hit home.
Your friend loves you but you must be kind to yourself.
It makes great sense so I thought I would just share the burden with you.
    It is a reality shock.
    So lets loose together.
    Love

  • I am sorry you had to hear that!! Develop a new attitude of not letting people trample your heart. It's hard, and I've only developed mine after putting up with it for so long, but it's useful. Don't let them walk all over your emotions, let them know you were hurt and don't appreciate it. Don't be angry, but be blundt. Congratulations on your weight loss, and don't ever let anyone get you down again!
