Hi all... new here (well I joined a few years ago but let's just say other problems took priority to everything else) so I am back

I have tried Zoloft & was spaced out but that was way better than how I felt before I took it. I am now on Wellbutrin, it isn't great but I don't cry as much at the drop of a hat anymore.

Im on Zoloft now, and so far so good...... I hope I dont gain weight, my Dr said it would help with losing weight, lets hope in my case shes right.

Ive been on Lexapro, that was terrible, I was spaced out, dizzy, and gained tons of weight, trazadone at the same time, so maybe that contributed to the weight gain and spaciness, but even after I dropped the trazadone I continued to gain, and lost all feelings so I didnt care.

Prozac loved it but again, I was so happy I gained all kinds of pounds, and never once gave a crap. But I was seriosuly happy!!!

Wellbutrin didnt do anything for me, and I didnt adjust the dosgae to see if it helped.

Hey all, I'm on zoloft right now, for only about 4 weeks. So far it's going great! I don't notice that I'm overly grouchy but I definatly have more balls when dealing with my jackass ex-husband (thank you zoloft! haha)
I had been on prozac for a few years and it just wasn't doing it anymore. We had to keep upping the dosage for it to do anything. finaly my Dr said "I can see you're just slipping away inside yourself, We're going to try zoloft" I about broke down and cried right there. I thought it was just how I was! It's hard being a single mom with 2 lovely children, a job and school. Anyhoo back on subject, I used wellbutrin in highschool for ADD, worked great! But-when I used it as an adult to quit smoking it make me all jittery and nuts acting.
Also, on the 13th my dr is putting me on an appetite depressant woooohooo!!

I don't feel comfortable telling people over the internet what kinds of medicine I take. I have a question, what do you do when the psychiatric drugs you take make you fat? It's the shrink's fault that I'm fat, I was always skinny as a child, then when I turned 14 and 15 I started gaining weight, after taking drugs for depression. I know these drugs can make you fat, I resent the fact that I was drugged as a child (teenager, I started taking medicine at 12) I don't know what I would be like without the drugs. I think it is wrong to drug children, it can mess them up in so many ways.

I have been on Lexapro for two days, and I have wanted to eat NOTHING. Other than that, though (and feeling "high," which should pass any day the Dr. said), I feel like a million bucks. The Dr. said it would take a month to work, but I'm telling you, it can't be in my head. I want to cry, but because I feel like it'd be OKAY if I did... you know? I'm not desperate today. I'm just not hungry either...

In fact, I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER (not manic, though, just controlled... "normal," or "better") that tomorrow I am treating to myself to new running shoes for the races I have coming up.

What appetite suppressant is your doctor going to put you on?

i feel enormous envy. i would so love a pill that would make me feel "normal," or "better"
feeling high gets my vote too.

I was surprised it "worked" so fast. I hope it works out for real. Only time will tell.

Best wishes for finding something that helps like this is (or seems to be) helping me. I'll be rooting for you. Maybe you could try it? Of course, don't take my word as gospel. I really need to emphasize how new and unusal this all is to me. As part of my real life, I need to make sense of things, and do it very quickly, so I could be just grasping at straws... I hope not, but I know I need to be realistic, too.

i'm pretty sure i have tried it. we call it citalopram here. i've tried most ssri i think!

I'm on Effexor and I've found it works very well for me with no negative side effects like I had on other drugs.

I am on paxil for a week and food taste funny to me. I lost 6 lbs this week because of the way things are tasting . I like this side effect
