where is everybody this morning?

I have been up since 3:30. I couldn't sleep. So I did get in 3 miles this morning.

Cin - I can't remember much, and don't have time to take notes so I actually open up 2 Internet Explorer windows - one with the posts from yesterday and one with the post that I am typing out. does that make sense?

Just wanted to thank you for the recipe you posted yesterday! It sounded so good that I ran in my kitchen and made it and drank it for supper and you are so right - it tasted like a Wendy's Frosty to me! loved it! thank you!

thought I'd copy it here in case anyone was wondering about it

recipe from cin:
WW Shake recipe for blender
1- 8 oz cup skim milk
2 tablespoons of sugar free pudding (any flavor) Chocolate is good!
8 ice cubes
1 tsp vanilla

Blend until ice cubes are gone
Reminds me of a Wendy's Frosty

only 2 points.....and you get in a milk!

SueMarie - sounds like you are busy busy busy! Hope your head and hands are better today!

Carla - how is your throat today?

MMarie - how are you feeling today? I TOTALLY understand wanting the withdrawals to be over with! I am so glad that you feel better! it is hard for me to understand that "even music sounds prettier in your ears" - that is mind boggling to me. It makes me worry about what all these meds can do to people. I'm not anti med - but I'm overly cautious about them to say the least - I mean you could never tell from the amount of meds my son has taken but I thought it was a last resort until his thyroid problem was found.

So glad you had a good day!

Liz - where are you girlie?

Leenie - whasssssup?

Tip - ditto - whasssssup?

LindaT - you lurking? BOO

April - how is the grand doing today?

Kierie - how is dh's migraine? gone yet?

Marbles - BOO!

hope everybody has a great day!

hugs,
cathy

Hi Cathy - I'll go to a local clinic in a bit about my throat. It's still very sore, and now has a splitting headache to keep it company. My GP is booked solid, and the local walk-in clinic is okay.

So far this morning I've been laughed at by cat hotels who think it's quite naive to be looking for space at the last minute in the summer. The 2 options I thought I had have fallen thru, so now I'm racing to find someone to come in every day. I do have a good friend who is my backup, but he doesn't really like cats, and I don't want to "use up" his generosity. I've got until Tues afternoon to sort things out.

The weather here continues to be too hot and humid. Even indoors with AC, too much movement makes me all sweaty and overheated. This really isn't normal. Usually we have one or two stinky weeks each summer and that's it. But this time it just goes on and on. I think I might go use a friend's empty cottage for the weekend. It'll give me a chance to see how the cats cope with a 2 hour car drive... This cat thing is so much more complicated than I remember!

I am having one of *those* days....too much work, my asst. called in sick, and everybody wants a piece of me, I'm trying to remain calm and breathe instead of jumping out my window! I think Keir's husband's headache is getting ready to land behind my eyes..... all i want to do is go home and lay down and possibly take a nap or have a glass of wine or both....fat chance, the contractor is rewiring and setting up the ductwork. and my allergies are kicking in on top of everything!

Karla, if you come down here I've got Z-packs galore (samples of anti-biotics from the reps. that frequent my building). I don't like to board my animals, they usually come home with something they've caught at the place from another animal.....The last time poor Slim was away, he spent holidays with my vet and kept the receptionist company lounging on her desk, sharing her sandwich...maybe you could line up 2 people to take turns with babysitting?

The Senseo is a bit different then the Melita (which uses only their brand of pods!)...I like the Home Cafe brand or Maxwellhouse or Yuban. It's good for the "coffee-challenged" like me who could never make a decent espresso to save my life!

Cin, I hope you are feeling stronger soon, I've never had a Frosty...I'm afraid I'd never stop at one....

thank you Mmarie, you are too kind! (have you seen my waist, I can't seem to find it)

BBL, I have to go and be tortured some more.....

Hi everyone!

Not sure what I have been doing........but I haven't been around the computer much.

We had the Folkfest last week Thurs-Sunday, been working a bit, helping my girlfriend pack....it is amazing the stuff people have......and hang on to..........has really motivated me to get my house in order.

I do have to work a night shift today and tomorrow............and hopefully never another! Still no word on the job I have applied for......won't know anything for awhile.

Summer is going way to fast........it is the first year we haven't really gone anywhere.....we may try to go to the lake for a few days with the camper.

DD 7 is doing a little synchro swim camp.........DD 13 is hanging with her friends a bit. Hubby is working lots of OT.

I am not going to go back and read the posts........hugs to everyone!

You too are VERY CUTE! (and not a grey hair or wrinkle in site, SIGH!) I wish I had eyebrows like yours, they are expressive! I have these mousey little blonde things....

one thing I've never had areal passion for is milk shakes? go figure, but I can eat an entire bag of potato chips! (in the old days of course)

Kier, if you are cooking fish, try this sauce, (in the seafood dept. section by GoldenDipt) FAT FREE lemon butter dill sauce....delish on sword fish, tuna steaks, salmon....about 15 calories a tabls.

Hi Ladies…

OOHH! That shake does sound good. I’ll give it a try. I know the kid will try it with me any ideas how to convert that into calories? Hehehehe….

Cathy – Yeah, I thought I was gonna take a break and relax and do “me” things now that I’m on summer break. I can’t keep myself still for longer than 20 minutes. That could be a good thing tho.

Carla – Oh yeah… the cat thing can be a real pain. I got a cat thing, dog thing (although she’s not much of a dog), a rat thing, and a fish thing…. It gets really complicated now! But I too am not fond of the pet hotels. I have my sister drop by my house once a day when I’m gone. I also let her take my dog with her because her roommate has her sister and so it’s good for her to get around and play with another dog.

Kierie – Great pictures!

Okie Folks… I’m hoping to hit the gym tommorrow. I’m going out to lunch with a friend as well, so I’m going to need that gym time!

I’ve got a busy schedule ahead and I only got 2 more weeks left in my summer break and no ME time yet WAHHH! I have a birthday coming up on the 20th for a friend, I’ll be going to vegas the following weekend (8-26 to 28), I start work on 8-30 (yay for another year with 8th graders!!! ) then I have the Angels game on the 3rd of September which I will be bringing the kid with me cause she wanted to go for her birthday. I have a State exam on the following weekend (9-10) and then I have a Laughlin trip with some friends for Party Gras (9-16 to 18) then I start fall classes sometime around September 20th-23rd. OOOH! I have to go to the VA’s place to my paper work in order for school as well. Oh man… I almost forgot about that I gotta go find my tax papers!!

Okie ladies, I gotta run everytime I close my eyes something else pops up!

Catch you all later!
Sue…

Good Afternoon everyone
Everyone is so busy and making great progress
Sun is back out again today and there is a bit of a breeze, that will keep the bugs busy. I'm covered in bites this year. I didn't get the van washed the other day as I had had only three and a half hours sleep, so I took a blanket and lied down outside and had a nap in the sun I highly recommend spending an afternoon that way!
Yesterday was my nineteenth anniversary. Hubby was here for the morning and made brekkie for all of us and then he had to go off to work. Not sure when he'll get back now. Dd17 and I went to town and did some running around. She's volunteering at the fair again so had her walk about .
Thanks for the smoothie recipe, I'm looking foreward to trying it, and today looks to be a perfect day for it.
Cathy, we don't go to the drive in very often as its getting a little pricey, still cheaper than the theater. But for the five of us its, $40 so we only go when the double feature is two movies we really want to see. A few years ago they ran a sunday special of $12 a car load, we went to quite a few of them. I'm big on renting the DVD's!
Anyway I should get going, take care all.
