Hiya Leenie and chicalas:

It's a hot one here....I cant wait to leave work and get a pedicure.

I did not want to work out this morning, but I didn't cave in, I know what I have to do and whining to myself just doesn't cut it. my *reward* for the perseverance was putting on my shirt and for once it did not feel *tight* (yaknow how you can get that "packed in" feeling when trying to get dressed)? So maybe I'm moving in the right direction?

hope everyone has a great weekend! We sure do deserve it!

We got up this morning to the aroma of baking bread. I had set the bread machine to do that. I had gotten up before R cause I couldn't sleep any more, so I took the butter out of the refrigerator. Can you imagine how good warm fresh bread and soft butter was with a nice fresh cup of coffee?? I could have easily eaten the whole loaf but I only had one slice.

It's a beautiful cool bright sunny day today but it's going to get hot again. I can see some kittens out in the yard playing. I have no idea how many kittens we have right now. Gosh, they're cute.

Tomorrow, we're going to the benefit for our neighbor who received his late uncles kidney. He has Goodpastures syndrome which is when antibodies attack the linings of the kidneys and lungs. I heard of his symptoms last fall when he was hunting behind our land. Very scary.

I haven't gone to our local watering hole this week cause I've had "tummy upsets". Maybe it's the hot weather, I don't know. I do know that I'm tired of spending so much time in the bathroom .

I best get going and clean the kitchen and fold some laundry. Have a good weekend everyone and God bless!

hey marbles - GREAT BIG CONGRATS on exercising this morning even tho you didn't feel like it! I didn't get up in time but will catch it tomorrow.

hey tippy - oh my gosh - The thought of hot fresh bread & warm butter has now made me sooooooo hungry! thanks! GREAT BIG CONGRATS on only eating one slice!!!! I honestly do not think I could do that - would have to have AT LEAST 2 slices.

I'm busy at work - it's crazy - and for some reason I am everybody's secretary! so I have lots to do.

Morning Ladies
Last night we went down the shore to get the rowboat. And survived our first dinner out on Phase 1.
Shrimp Coctail for apps it was 9:30 by the time we ate and I hadn't eaten since 2 we ordered 10 shrimp thinking they'd be small They were HUGE! (Kleins In Belmar Soo good)
the we had broiled scallops extra veggies and pushed the bread basket to the far end of the table (Waiter didn't understand no bread please meant NO BREAD!)

Morning........what a week it has been.........I have done my first set of nights with last night off and now I am on for three more with two off and then two more and then no more shifts booked on medicine until mid september............hopefully I will never do another night as long as I live! I do have a few shifts booked in the ER,which is ok.

The only good news is I have lost 4 lbs. I only really eat very lightly on nights.......busy all night and never want to eat much during the night, sleep all day and then get up and shower and have a meal and off to work again.......not much of a life.........not very glamourous.

I am in a good head space that all being said.........

Cathy – Oh yeah… I’m not gonna be a happy camper if I get stood up again. But you, it’s his loss. If he wants the job and the money… I’m more than willing to pay him, but I’m not about to let him walk all over me and come when he thinks it’s appropriate for him.

Kierie – Yeah I know… but I figured, we’re going through a heat wave. It’s been 100+ the last few days with the highest of around 107-110. The least I can do is keep the guys hydrated so they don’t pass out on me. Cause I would like a driveway before next year But I definitely won’t take any crap for them not showing up. Have fun tonight with dinner and a row boat.

Marble – that’s great… just remember tho… don’t hold it in for the sake of not whining. It makes things worse… at least from my experiences. Some things can be taken in stride, other times it’s best to release.

Tippy – Yum… that fresh bread and warm butter sounds yummy!

Liz – congrats on those 4lbs gone!

It’s been a good day so far. My last day of instruction is on Wednesday next week… Then I have finals the following Monday (Aug. 1st) So ladies… I’ll probably go into hiding. I need to cram 3 chapters back into my head.

I’m really upset about this class tho… so upset that I ended up crying on the way home. I can’t believe how lost I am with these last two chapters. I really need to get my rear end in gear, because I’m taking Calculus 2 in the Fall, and if I can’t understand the calculus now, I’m going to be really screwed come Fall term.

I went out and bought a solutions manual. I am hoping that maybe it will be able to show me where my steps went wrong in my math work. I hope I can figure this out! I have finals on Aug 1 for this class. I am pretty confident that I won’t fail. But I dunno if I can handle a C in the class… not because it’s a low grade, but because I have to go all theway up to Calculus 3, and everything builds on itself. If I can’t understand steps 1-3 by the time steps 4-6 come along… it’ll be a mess!

Good morning everyone

DH & I were up early....had coffee with friends....don't know what I am doing today....some cleaning & laundry....got groceries yesterday.

DD-in-L is back in the hospital....on bed rest....she will probably stay there until the baby is born....she now has pre-eclampsia...she is 33 weeks pregnant....also her DH....our DS1 & his DB...our DS2 are on strike now...not good. I will be flying to Vancouver after the baby is born.

I made a crockpot pork chop dinner in the crockpot yesterday....it was very good....the pork chops were really tender.

Cathy....I can smell the bread all the way from Cananda....lol.

Liz......I remember working 12 hour night shifts when I worked on the Childrens ward....hardly ever stopped the whole 12 hours....it was always so busy.
