Wink Pity poor Tom Cruise!

Tom sounds to me like a classic case of denial. He's acting like someone with a hormonal imbalance, who would greatly benefit from counselling and medication to help him through this difficult time.

Seriously though, he seems to me to be a sad, intolerant person incapable of empathy. And the mid-life crisis he's having is not very attractive. I hope for him he stops alienating deluded drug-dependent nut cases like me before his whole fan base goes elsewhere!

Just my opinion. I'll get off my now. Thank you.

Boy do I agree with you. DS wanted me to go with him to the movies and the show was Cruise's. I said he was a jerk and refused to go.

I think that Tom Cruise is a non talented gay man who is again trying to hide it by being involved with a woman. Also, I think that he "has a screw loose" and has for a long time, but he had a good publicist who hid it well. He recently fired this person and hired his sister who, unfortunately, cannot keep all the facts from becoming public.

When I say "has a screw loose", I don't mean that he has depression or any other imbalance. I think that he downright incapable of behaving in a "normal" way unless someone is choreographing his every move and covering his gay behavior.

When I say "normal" way, I don't mean that as a reflection on his gayness. Gay men don't normally jump around on furniture or suddenly become experts on psychiatry.

Carry on.....

I haven't liked Tom Cruise in a movies since Risky Business or Cocktail.......he sure does like to shoot his mouth off about subjects he's not qualified to diagnose. I find his statements offensive and his behavior to be very self-centered....(LOOKATME--LOOKATME!!!) Religion and choice of medical treatment are PERSONAL decisions.....

money bet he'll have a book deal soon?

Offensive is right!
Money bet that one of we chemically imbalanced people "fly off the handle" and take him out? I'd be worried if I were him.

*Snort*, I'm surprised that Oprah didn't give him a verbal spanking yet, he would probably enjoy it

If he does write a book, (perhaps he thinks he's the next L. Ron Hubbard?), I doubt she will invite him back on her show.

Did he ever make a public apology for his ignorance?

The bipolar board I'm a member of, we've decided we're all going to tie him down, everyone gets one swift kick to the groin, and then we'll smile sweetly, tell him we've been dysphoric, and that's why we need our meds. But just for him we went off of them.

Jerk.

How would he feel if all mentally ill went off their meds? Paranoid schizophrenics, anti-social personality disorder, etc. Would he feel safe in that billion dollar mansion?

Why would he apologise? Like all fanatics, he KNOWS he's right. Maybe it's the alien soul inhabiting his physical shell that's making him do these things!

I have always liked Tom Cruise UNTIL he "showed himself royally" with Matt on the Today show! In my opinion he HUNG HIMSELF.......I dont think anyone will ever think about him the same way.

It is amazing the effect it will have on his total career now! Shame on him!!!

There at least I feel better !

I have had this argument on other forums. There are those who know about medication abuse and "don't believe" in depression, bipolar condition, ADD, and whatever else gets on their nerves. They should have been born in my family, where we can trace this back over 100 years...

I do believe Tom is acting like a man in a midlife crisis - or he's fallen madly in love. Both can make you act a bit on the mentally disturbed side...
