Default TGIF Chat...Friday, May 27

Good Morning everyone!

Tippy: It was good to hear from you yesterday!

Cathy: I don't know if I'm going to see the new Star Wars, but I'm curious about where the story goes .

April: I'm glad you're husband is doing better. I know that he'll benefit from Physical Therapy. When I was in rehab after my back surgery, my PT busted my b..t until I was up walking again! Thank God for a great therapist!

Marble: I think it was you who started the discussion about "feminine hygenie products" I don't remember my DH purchasing those, but he does buy me "bladder control products" every now and then! I think I'll keep him

CIN: WTG training for your walk! This is a lovely time of year for it too!

Kierie: I'm jealous . I remember seeing a picture of your bike-it looks great! Maybe someday I'll be able to get one. You must be looking forward to a nice bike ride.

Sue Marie: I hope you have a good rest. You've been working so hard. Don't worry about your Calculus exam-you probably did better than you thought. And with all those prayers going up, I know that God is already working for you!

Liz: It must be very stressful working as a nurse, especially in the ER. Being in the hospital and rehab for long periods of time has given me an appreciation for nurses and aides. Thank you for doing what you do

Leenie: Is the boss going to give you a break today?

Has anyone got any special plans for the weekend?

Hope you all have a wonderful day

Joanne - you are always soooooooo sweet to check in with every one! but what about you? how are you doing girlie? and how is your son doing?

so you saw all the other Star Wars movies???? I hope you get to see this one! I remember seeing the very first one - I guess it must have been in 1977 right??? they said the movies started 28 years ago - it was the year I was graduating from high school and me and my high school sweetheart (who is now my dear hubby) went. Actually we have now gone to all 6 of them together.

I am so glad it is Friday! I have got to find out if we are closing the office on Monday for the holiday! I sure do hope so! I have got to clean house tomorrow! It can wait no longer!

Need to grab my coffee and do payroll. will check back later!

hope all is well & everyone has a blessed day!

hugs,
cathy

TGIF indeed!!!! of course the offices are closed in my area on Monday, it a state holiday.

yes, I started the feminine hypgiene discussion, what you all must understand is that I HAVE NO HUSBAND....but I have an X-husband who shared custody....hey, he needed to take on all aspects of parental responsibility! if he has a female child, then he has to figure out how to deal with her TOM....just like I learned to operate a drill, fix plumbing and hook up appliances and fiddle with the furnace...tit for tat! (call me the toolbelt diva....)

it is finally beeyootiful weather here, I hope it lasts, it was so wet I felt like I was growing mold.....

Hi, everyone,

I do keep up on everyone, just don't have a lot of time to post. I wish everyone well, and I always want to encourage everyone, wherever they are in life right now. Keep going!

I am STILL not employed, darn it. I keep thinking should I try to find a full-time job instead. We could use the money and it would give me a lot more options, but every time I think of it, I feel sick. I just know it is not right for me right now. Maybe after my last child graduates from high school....but how do you balance everyone's needs out and still take care of you. Eating is going so-so, I am following WW still, but eat a little extra treat every day. I just feel so stressed and it is my way of comforting me. But I still want to lose the weight. Darn it!!! It just seems so hard right now. My husband is down about his job and our finances, which is very unusual for him and of course puts more stress on me, too. But I am sure everything will work out eventually. I just have to hang in here. You guys hang in there, too.

hey Kathy, here is something you might consider regarding employment......if you consider municipal, state govt. jobs....in some states "full-time" is only 30 hours per week. most are unionized with great benefits and holidays, vacation time, personal time, etc. there are a lot of options at local schools and universities for most states.

I NEVER had the luxury of choice of being able to work part-time as I was a single parent with bills up the wazzoo and a big mortgage. I did day-care, before & after school programs, and then there was grandma to help me out.....I did housework, grocery shopping and hosted sleep-overs on Saturday nights...."time for me" came when I went to bed ...accompanied by the cat and a glass of wine!

Homebound – heheh thank you! I’m nervous, I can’t wait to get my scores… actually I can’t wait but I’m so nervous that I don’t want to know… blah heheh

Liz – awww I bet yer yorkie is adorable! I will have to speak with my instructor on Monday. I’m at a dilemma. Many of the students in the class is complaining about the instructor. We started out with a class of 29, we ended up with 17 left after the first midterm, then this second midterm, there were only 10 students there. Many students feel this instructor is not teaching them properly. Many are thinking about filing a complaint. I am thinking about talking to them before class, to see what is going on. I don’t feel I’m getting adequate instruction either…sigh we’ll see what happens on Tuesday, I’m thinking about talking to the students, so I may talk to them. Debating…

Well ladies… Tomorrow is the first day of our new yard… it’s gonna be a lot of work. We have a 65ft long and 50ftwide yard, so it’s a really big yard. Tomorrow, the first thing we are going to do is lay out an 18x26 ft frame for where we are going to put the pool at. We bought an above ground pool. Was cheaper than an in ground one… but it’s a big pool… I think a standard in ground pool is 15 x 30, this is 13x21 and is 4.5 feet deep. So I’m gonna get some good laps going. Anyways we have to lay a frame out because we want the pool to lay in a sand box. Essentially to protect the bottom of it from anything sharp on the bare ground. So we’re gonna build a frame and fill it with about 2 inches thick of sand (give or take). Then once the frame is built, we have to go through the whole yard and pull up the sprinklers and the pipes. We’re going to redo the sprinkler system. So that’s another job for us. Then on Tuesday they are going to deliver a dumpster and we’ll get the Kubota (a tractor) on Saturday next week.

I have some many layouts of what I want my back yard to look like. So if we can get things laid out, we can get an idea of how much of our backyard is going to be taken up. We’ll go from there. But I’m proud of myself… I designed the whole backyard, so we’ll see what it looks like when its done LOL! EEK!

Take care everyone!
Sue…
