Morning all-- My week in Richmond last week was wonderful from a training standpoint even though the new version won't come on line till August now, but it has been hard to get out of the eating mode. I had promised myself I would be good, but hotel breakfast, lunches bought in (with tons of cookies), and dinners with mt best friend hurt my resolve. So it is back to watching better and lots of protein shakes. No weight loss, but back to the gym today. I was having a problem at the gym and have decided to solve it--- someone had posted a baby picture in the exercise area and it is all I can see when I am trying to work out. I love babies, but losing my first grandson in March, I can't deal with looking at the picture. I am just goint to ask them to move the picture to a place where I can exercise in peace. Good day all.

Leenie, YAWN I'm sure you will both sleep well tonight....

busy days at work for me too....but I decided that the best way for me to get this extra poundage off is to consistently move my buttisimo....what seems to work best is a combination of strong aerobics and interval training with weights. As I keep saying (sorry to repeat myself, but you guys listen best and never roll your eyes at me)....4 hours a week is my current point. I'm still afraid of the scale, but have made friends with the tapemeasure....my ribcage measurment has gone down a whole INCH in 2 weeks!!!! I can now wear some of my blouses that were bursting at the boobs last month

Getting my HR up high enough was a problem as strong aerobics is tough on my 48 year old body....but seems to work with the mini trampolene and it is easier on my knees.....

I just do my exercise first thing in the AM, or it doesn't get done at all......

BBL, hope you all have a good day!

marble - do you have a mini trampoline at home? or do you go to the gym and use one? how do you like it? do you do it with a video or just do your own thing?

Liz - hope you had a great lunch!

HI Kathy:

I bought the Urban Rebounder, took the elastic Walmart version back to the store, the springs and stabilizer bar a necessary items for the klutz in me......I can easily get my HR up to the high 130s and can do about 7-8 mins of different moves to any aerobics DVD. (I usually use The Firm version or follow Cathe Freidrich)....I made my own "fanny lifter" with a 10" tupperware stepstool and a 1/2 " piece of plywood...I can now do 50 reps of step-ups per leg while holding 2 8 lb. dumbells.

I also have a weight bench for upper body work.....the whole routine i've "custom designed" takes between 40-55 mins....per session. and I sweat through 2 t-shirts and share my early work-outs with the cats (who like to sleep on and under the rebounder)....I felt silly at first, but then realized it is an excellent aerobic workout and no stress on my *old* joints......and I can almost fit into a size 11 skirt I have!
