Hi Leens............and everyone else to come..............

DD 7 had a little friend over last night for sleepover.......hubby made them breakfast and I slept until 9 am!

Did a bit of tidying.......then went for a one hour walk with the girls and 3 lb yorkie.

Going to do a bit more tidying and then DD 13 is going to a kareokee party and DD 7 is going to Gramma's and then hubby and I are going for natcho and beers and maybe listen to some blues.

Hope you all have a great day. Tomorrow we are going to do something as a family...not sure what yet......working hard at reconnecting with one another and enjoying each other. So easy to get caught up in day to day work, chores etc

Have a good one everyone!

Liz

Good Morning, Leenie and Liz and Everyone this morning.

Took another day off.. this week has been such a bad week... last night we went to the circus.. which was alot of fun. The kids enjoyed it.. but then after the circus we went to McDonald my son fell off his bar stool seat and landed face done on the concrete floor.. So I spent half the night in the ER with him. He has a nasty goose egg on his forehead and was getting dizzy spells and was sensitive to any light. We got there at 11pm An hour after waiting.. He was fine and playing.. but I was worried about him having a blood clot or something under the bump, finally At 2am the finally decided to look at him and at 3am he went for a cat scan. At 4am we went home.. he was ok, but Ive been watching him since then. He is alot better now tho and is outside playing with his little girlfriend...

Other then that things are going ok.. Got back on my diet and hopefully I can stay on it.. Decided to basically say screw it on really watching what I eat.. Just eat alot less of it.. and just keep exercising and see how that goes.. I didn't get my workout in today.. Didn't wake up until after 10am.. but I do plan on getting a walk in today.. The kids are itching to go to the park.

I have to work tomorrow all day so nothing planned for that.. Have Monday off so can't wait to enjoy a peaceful, uneventful day.

Hope Everyone has a wonderful day and weekend
/hugs

Afternoon all, Ashlie, I hope your son is doing better. Sounds like you had a horrible night. Liz, enjoy your date with your hubby. Sounds nice. Leenie, ejoy the beautiful day.

Have you ever wondered why outside influences have so much impact on your diet? Yesterday our electricity went out for a couple hours. So we couldn't cook (we were making healthy fajitas) so we went out to dinner. There were healthy choices, but I figured since I was paying for it with money that we really hadn't allotted to going out, I wanted something I really wanted to eat. So I had nachos with lots of cheese, chicken etc. I didn't eat a lot but it wasn't a great choice. Because of the electricity I screwed up a day that I'd basically stayed good on. Sort of irritating.

This morning I'm back on track even with the 5 minute bleep in my will power. I've just incorporated those calories into the day's limit.

Since this is the depression thread I wanted to ask if you all ever talk about your illnesses? I'm struggling lately with being motivated to do anything. There are times I think it is my meds, but I don't know. I'm happy and productive, but if push came to shove, I'd have to admit that I'd rather sleep and do nothing. Any ideas?

Hi Gals
Getting ready to go meet some friends for Middle Eastern Dinner at one of our favorite casual little places close to the house!

Ashlie..hope your son is better today.you are prbably exhausted! E.R. are exhausting..................poor nurses that work them too Liz!

Yesterday one of the 4 grands had to have a wrist xrayed after I left ( safely) But it wasnt broken or at least we think not.you know it can be a hairline fracture. Always something with 4 kids believe you me!

Hubby & I got up at 6 and walked at 7.....for 45 min then came home and napped

I shopped til I dropped trying to find some conservative ( not snug fitting) new summer clothes for work...I detest most of the trends currently!

Hi Ladies,

Liz hope you get your cleaning done sounds like your a busy bee today.

Ashlie thank God your son is okay, egads that had to hurt. Your diet plan seems to be working well, why would you want to give up on it?

Hey Cin, a nap after walking sound good to me i like the new styles for the younger folk.... wish I could wear it instead of the tent look LOLOL !! bet you look good in anything you wear.

Hi Marie, nice to meet you. Yes it is amazing how we let things get in the way of our success. I try not to go out to eat b/c its to easy to get the wrong thing. Even with good intentions, I always screw up. If you feel your meds are not doing what they should maybe you could talk to your doctor. Some times our systems get used to them and we might need a stronger dosage.

DH is taking a nap but as soon as he gets up we'll make dinner and go outside to enjoy more fresh air.

Hope your all enjoying the weekend.

hey everybody

had a great time at the dragcar races yesterday, but I like the races much better at night. you can see the flames shoot out of the cars and the fireworks are cool, and it is much cooler and comfortable at night. it was really hot during the day, sitting in the direct heat, facing the sun - man was it hot. was really glad to see the sun go down. we all had a great time.

I cleaned house for 6 hours today, and I'm still working on clothes. gonna fix some supper and work on my lesson for tomorrow.

Tomorrow after sunday school we are taking the 12th grade girls and guys in a hummer limousine for a 3 hour ride. should be fun (and another new experience for me and dh) haha

Leenie - did you get thru cleaning and did you get to spend some time outside? what's for supper?

Liz - congrats on the one hour walk sounds like you are having a new weekend. have a good time with dh!

My goodness Ashlie - I hope your ds is ok! what an awful night. how old is your son? give him a hug from me.

Hey Marie - I think we have talked about just about everything here. Just ask and talk away. there are some here that don't deal with depression - we are just here cause we followed our friends from the chatroom, but we are caring and supportive and have friends and family that deal with depression. I was told by 3 doctors that I was depressed and needed anti depressants, but it was a low thyroid problem (which can definitely cause depression) and I am taking 3 grains of Armour Thyroid a day and feel like a new woman (well almost). My oldest son also has a very low thyroid problem which causes him depression and anxiety and a distorted body image but thankfully he is doing well now. Ya know, I am happy and productive too, like you mention, but sometimes I just want to do nothing - for me it comes from being so busy, that I just want some time to nothing. I haven't figured out how to do that yet tho. But we would be glad to talk about anything with you.

Cin - your supper sounds like fun! congrats on the morning walk

PurplePansy - rocking in your rocking chair on the deck sounds nice. I just realized I didn't even get my coffee this morning. I love sitting around on a saturday morning and drinking my

Liz - I didn't see where you sounded like you had a rough night? I'm glad all is well! hugs!

later gaters
hugs,
cathy

Good Morning

Nice to see you all

I'm waiting for dd to wake up so we can head on off to walmart. I put a pair of her thin pants on the other day and by golly they were to short, then I dug deeper in her dresser drawer and it looks like the kid shot up over night.. so off for some spring /summer clothes for her.

Then its home to do some laundry folding and what ever else comes up.

Talk to you all later

Hi Gals
Lanlee...good to hear from you................I have been through the juvenille court thing with a troulbed daughter.........I feel for you. Keep your chin up.........my Mom used to always say "This too shall pass"...as a matter of fact My Mom still says that to me and I am 55!

I worked a good part of yesterday sorting thru summer clothes and packing away winter clothes.trying to decide "to keep or not to keep".UGH..my least favorite seasonal chore. And I just did mine.havent drug out hubby's stuff yet! NOW THAT"S A SWITCH I put ME first! (about time)

I have "babysat" my old dog for my daughter. Our shitzu is almost 15..........lived with me most of his life but daughter took him to her apartment last year...she adores him but says as old as he is he whines all the time.....now isnt that starnge? He has not whined one bit in 3 days here! He has her fooled...doesnt he? He is pitiful......cant hardly see or hear............stiff when he walks...........he used to bark at everything that moved and irritated us to death.now we wake him up! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I would actually like to hear him bark and be spunky again.....

Ok.enough for today..............
See you all later this week........
Take Care!
