Hi Gals
Heading to work.we have a light dusting of snow and they cancelled school where my daughter lives!

Kier.wanted to tell you that cornbread.homemade or not is NOT CORE Sorry.......to tell you this! If bread or cornbread is not Core then you cannot "make" it from the Core ingredients and count it as core. You may have it and count it as points from your 35 WPA! Hope this clears it up for you.I want you to do well and if you were in my meeting I would help you.so Ihope you dont mind me "raining on your cornbread!"

Later taters

good morning gang!

can ya believe it is March already! gotta start over on my walking miles - will try to get started on that during lunch today.

Leenie - did you make it into work! wow 10 inches! I cannot imagine! I would like to see that ONCE in my life - but only once! hehe if that happened down here nobody would go any where - bunch of crazy cajuns haha (but not me of course). I was just wondering - how do teenagers do up there driving around in all that snow? yikes!!! and what ya gonna do to your hair?

Cin - did yesterday end up being a good day? are the "circumstances" any better today? I know you are always positive and make the most of whatever is going on and always leaning on the Lord and that you will be fine - but just wondered if things looked any better? 3 meetings today huh? you are busy busy busy! how is dh? getting better? did his rash go away? still praying!

Tippy - I am always so glad to see a post from you! you really need to do that more often - I miss not keeping up with you! I can only imagine cabin fever amongst "old" church members haha They could write a book about such things but you be good hehe. Hmmmmmm scraping paint does not sound like fun! you are not having to get on the floor to do that are you? yikes! be careful and take care!

Kierie - if "busy" burnt caloires I would be soooooooooooooo skinny! don't forget to post that recipe for us. how's work going?

Marble - I'm really glad that you and the cat have different docs! hehe let us know how it goes! hope you feel better!

Shellsbells - Welcome girlie! so nice to meet ya! How awful about your wreck! I was wondering how long you were in a wheelchair from the accident? you must have an amazing story to tell about overcoming that wheelchair! would love to hear it!

Kathy - how you feeling today? how is dd? I am hoping and praying that ya'll are doing better!

Lynnie - I am so glad you are feeling better! getting on a Walmart would be awesome! I will be praying for you today. Please let us know how it goes girlie!

Nefarious - Welcome to you too girlie! tell me about your member name (if you don't mind talking about it) - I have no idea what either of those words are. I love hearing how people come up with the names they use to post with. Was wondering - again if you don't mind talking about it - which med you finally found that words for your depression. If you would rather not say that is totally fine - but was just thinking that the info might help others.

SueMarie - you ok girlie? busy busy busy?

Ericka - how is your eye today? do you think you might have a sty or pink eye? any ideas? sure hope it's better!

Liz - guess you are having a great time at disney huh? can't wait to hear about it.

April - how's coffee this morning? you doing ok?

Joanne - how ya doing girlie? whassssup? hows your foot today?

Lanee - how are you doing? busy at Walmart?

LindaT - how is the weather over there? is it still raining? hope you are staying dry and safe! be careful! we miss you!

ok - I think I might have gone thru our list - hope I didn't miss anybody - I certainly don't mean too - just remember I have a low thyroid - and my memory can be the pits at times.

hugs chickadees,
cathy

knickers firmly in hand! leens SNOW SNOW GO AWAY!
Cathy here is the recipe from the other thread
Cin I know it's not Core but thats the title
CORE CORNBREAD It makes 8 or so slices depending on the size of your slice or maybe 12 muffins

1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tps. salt
1/3 c. Splenda {up to 1/2 cup if you like it sweet}
1c. fat free yogurt
1/2 c fat free sour cream
1 tbs. oil
2 eggs

Mix dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix liquid ingredients in a small bowl. Gently fold the wet into the dry. Pour into a 9" deep dish pie plate or a 9" square pan that has been sprayed with Pam.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are a golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
my adaptation was to toss some frozen berries in a sprinkling of splenda
pour half the bread mixture in a pie dish and top with berries and cover with remaining mixture DH LOVES this

Hi, everyone,

I am feeling a little bit better today, still really tired. DD is better, too, thank goodness.

Leenie, that is too bad about your hair salon being closed. I would be so disappointed.

Cin, are you a WW leader? I think I saw that somewhere. I would love to hear your weight loss success story, as I just started WW at home, two weeks ago, and feel really committed to it.

Kier, how do you like the Core plan? I don't have the materials for that, just the Flex plan stuff. Too bad about your cornbread recipe not being Core. It looks good, though.

Cathy I got your message about the thyroid stuff. Thank you so much. I will respond more when I feel better. Didn't get to see my nurse-practitioner---my appointment was when I had the flu. So I had to cancel.

I lost 2.5 pounds this week on WW . I am really excited. I think I am going to be successful. I just feel such a sense of commitment. On the down side, I have been feeling so crummy physically---just exhausted and down. I feel like something physical is keeping me from feeling good. I am concerned the medication I am taking may be causing the fatigue (Effexor XR). I am so frustrated with trying to figure out how to feel good! I am hoping it is a thyroid or hormonal issue, or something that someone can help me figure out. I may need to re-visit the medication issue, which really scares me. I am very sensitive to medication and it took awhile to figure out the current one. And I am so scared any change may throw me off the weight-loss track I finally got on. I need to call my nurse-practitioner and ask her if there is anything I can do to feel better before I see her next week. Please wish me luck. Thank you. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
