Talking Tuesday Chat ~ January 25

Morning Ladies.

I hope this works. My computer is connected to a router that is connect to S.'s computer upstairs and when he has the heater on up there it makes everything screwy... so I have issues with my computer.... and more issues with posting... so if this posts 6 times you know why... I so can't wait to move....

Well I woke up in a not so good mood, but now after my wonderful 1 hour and 10 minute workout and getting dressed for the day.. I am in a good mood.. which is unusual..

Well.. I got off the fasting yesterday :P I had a good healthy dinner and the S. comes home and I made chicken nuggets and fries and popcorn for him and the kids... well.. needless to say... my healthy eating went right into a binge. So I am a little mad at myself this morning. This is one of the reason's I was iffy about the fasting. I had a feeling that I would end up binging from not eating.

So todays plan is to get back on track eating right. I drive myself crazy. I fall off and just restart again.

Well I hope everyone is doing ok this morning and congratz to all that have lost weight when they weighed in... and big hugs to everyone.

I have alot to do today.. my day off.. I get to clean house..along with other things .. and my son is off from school today due to a half day.. so it should be a fun day... Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

/hugs
Stephanie

Do I have a story for you! Be prepared to laugh. My sides hurt from laughing at myself.

Yesterday, I found out that my original greeting on my answering machine had been erased and "another" one was on there for a month. OMG! You see, when my cat, Brat, climbs on the monitor, he steps on the answering machine and messes things up and I lose my patience! Well, he must have stepped on the greeting button on day and I came out with a sentence or two that had words (I'll abbreviate) like SOB, @**-hole, etc! THAT HAD BEEN MY GREETING ON THE MACHINE SINCE AROUND NEW YEAR'S! Can you imagine!

I'd been wondering whyI had not been getting any messages. I now wonder who heard that! The Pastor? Oy vey!

Tonight, this saintly, pious secretary of the church has to ask at the Planning Council meeting if anyone had phoned here and heard that.

You know...I haven't gotten any calls from telemarketers either!

Hi everyone'

Well I have been busy doing goodness knows what........the weather is finally mild...all the snow is melting and then freezing at night turning the sidewalks into ice rinks.

I have had a day or two off.........I have started taking B12, B6 and folic acid sublingually. Supposed to help with overall well being.....it is a start. I am going to get the leslie sansone walking tape today...it is $11.99. I couldn't find it any cheaper.

Lots happening.....girls are well at the moment.........taking it one day at a time.

Leens sorry to hear about your aunt. Hugs to you.

Tip sounds like you really made an impression.

Steph good luck with an OP day!

Congrats Sue Marie, Lynnie, Cathy, April and all the rest for doing so well.

Gonna run.

I'll check in later.

Good Morning Gang!

Wow Ashlie! good for you getting in a 70 minute workout! that is awesome! isn't it great how much better we feel after a workout! it's the best mood enhancer that I know of! YOU GO GIRL!

Leenie - I am so sorry for your loss! I will be praying for you and your family. hugs!

Hey Liz - let us know if the B stuff helps! $11.99 for a Leslie Sansone tape sounds good to me. grab it before somebody else does! which one are you getting? she has so many. I really like her new one called "Walk and Jog".

Wonder when Cin is getting back from Houston? today maybe?

SueMarie? you eating peppers today? I bet that would get my low body temperature up a little bit huh.

April - are you out having coffee this morning?

Well I did not drag myself out of bed again this morning. I hope to exercise during lunch today if nobody changes my plans.

Gotta run - lots to do around here - always

Default Good Afternoon Ladies

I am in a pretty good mood considering how cold I am.But then again I just drank a smoothie soooooo.Dh is at school and won't be home until about 7 tonight. He has alot of marinara sauce leftover so I am thinking and seasoning up some tilapia and let cook in that on th stove for dinner.Does anyone know how many calories are in tilapia as well as the fat content?I am going to make twice baked potatoes also.I still have to figure out what kinda of vegetable to have.I am trying to steer Dh away from the pasta.
I will do some vaccuming and cross-stitching today to keep myself somewhat busy.

BBL

Well so far things are going ok.. I have "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" >-P As my Yahoo Message for today. I have nothing nice to say, but I do have alot to say so I am writing it all in my journal as a reminder. I so want to call over there and give them a piece of my mind but I have to be on my best behavior until I move out.

I only jumped on for a minute to put in my lunch.. on here and firday.com

I am going to grab 5 minutes on my thigh trainer and then go clean up after the kids lunch mess.

Cathy ~ thanks. On my days off I try to get in a hour or more.

Leenie ~ /big hugs.

Liz ~ Let me know how you like the Leslie Sansone tape. I am looking for something new to do.

Sue Marie ~ I love green peppers and red sweet peppers.. At Home Depot there are little pots that you can grow your own.. for like $2.89 and there are 7 different peppers.. Hot and Spicy or just plain. ~ I spend to much time in the plant section.

Lynn ~ 3oz of Tilapia = 93 cal. 1g fat.
/hugs

hey gang!

ok tip - now you've got me wondering.....exactly how did you find out that the message had been changed??? did somebody tell you? haha or did you or Roger call home to leave a message and hear it? I am tickled trying to think of how you "found out" about it.

it was almost like breaking out of prison *sigh* but I did go the church gym during lunch. Did 2 miles on the treadmill and then 20 minutes of machines - so got in a 50 minute workout! woohoo! Jan Miles = 29

Ashlie - I have a lot of Leslie Sansone's stuff and I really love it. She has a 4 Mile Express that I like, when I have 60 minutes to walk, and then she has a new one out called "Walk and Jog". I got it on DVD at Walmart for $10. It is 30 minutes, 2 1/2 miles, and you do intervals of walking fast and then light jogging. I think it is her most intense 30 minute walk and I really like it!

Lynnie - I'm no help girlie! I don't even know what "tilapia" is? much less the calories? hey? do you ever use spaghetti squash in place of pasta? I love it and it is a vegetable. yum!

ok I need to crawl back on top of this pile of paperwork before it gets out of hand! ha!

hugs,
cathy

Tip-Too funny. Cats have got to be the most "helpful" animals. Mine always walks across my keyboard while I'm typing and my posts get erased. Her fav. sleeping spot right now is my cable modem box.

Ashlie-I have a WATP tape too. I love it! If you don't have one already, I would recommend it. They give you a good workout without all the fancy steps to make a person look less than graceful.

Lynnie-Tilapia sounds good! I'm not sure of the calorie count either...but hey it's fish. Shouldn't be too bad. I've been in smoothie heaven lately. I've been making my own at home with fat-free yogurt, skim milk and frozen fruit or bananas...YUM!

Hi Cathy, Leenie, SueMarie, Liz, and the rest of the gang!
I'll be back after awhile. I have to go order my carpet from my aunt. She's giving us a deal on some good stuff before the price goes up...WHOOO HOOO!

Hi everyone....it's getting sort of late to be posting....it's almost 5 P.M. now....I have 2 potatoes in the oven now.

DH & I went to DS3 & his GF's house in the morning.......they got a new puppy today...another Border Collie...a female....8 weeks old....her name is Ripley....she is so sweet. The people they bought her from were still there with another puppy....the brother....a male who hasn't been sold yet....we are a 1 dog family....1 is enough for DH & I.

This afternoon I went for my haircut & color....not much else new here....doing good with food.....today I tried the recipe for the low fat brownie & fat free yogurt....it was 1.5 points....but next time I will make it 1 point by putting a bit less low fat brownie mix....it is 1 serving....done in the microwave....it was really good.

Sue....thanks...re the weight loss....I think I am doing better with the weight loss with eating more....I try to eat healthy food....but every day I have some treats....like yesterday I had 15 gm. of toffee for 1 point....I don't think I should give up anything....but I don't have things in the house like potato chips.

Cathy....I was at DS3's house with 3 dogs & 2 puppies....for coffee this morning.

April

Hello everyone.. today was my looooooong day... ugg what a day! I'm glad it's over. I got no exercise today, well at least any extra exerise since I did a lot of walking across the univeristy campus... students get into the fitness center on campus for free... who woulda thunk it! I'll have to check it out when I get some time off. I did pretty good with my eating today, OH! and I checked this morning, that 1lb is still off... WHEW so... 3 days and still off, could this mean the end of my rollre coaster ride? I won't jinx it hehehe... so I'll hush.

Cathy - Oh I always eat peppers. I'm half Thai, so my mom always cooks great Thai Food, and she loves to make her food HOT! So hot she sweats! I can't eat hot like I used to... my mom says it's because I am dating a man who can't even handle looking at peppers I was just curious as to if the saying held any truth to it.

Ashlie - yes gotta love pepper bells! My grandmother makes a great roasted pepper and stuffed pepper. Yum hehehe...

April - you are right... we're on a diet, we aren't dead! I don't think we should have to give up everything... but definately cannot have the same amount or even have it every day. Baby Steps and take things in moderation. Good for you!

I'll catch up with everyone tommorrow.

Take care and sleep well!

Sue.....that is right....we don't have to give up all the foods we like....but we have to have smaller amounts....especially the treats.
I do notice....since I am feeling better emotionally....it is easier to eat small amounts of treats & not pig out.....but it's when I feel down.....that I am more prone to want to eat everything in site.
