Recommended article about dieting.
In the August issue of "Good Housekeeping" there is and article about "Losing Weight-without going hungry. I found it very interesting and it makes sense.
It also talks about a book called "The Volumetrics Weight-Control Plan". One of the things the article showed is how 23 M & M's (Behave Leenie!) has the same amount of calories of 2 1/4 cups of strawberries and how the fruit would keep you feeling fuller longer. Makes sense to me! The magazine cover is purple with some brown haired woman on it. It has some good articles besides that one. |
This is true, AND the strawberries have less carbs than the M&M's...BUT! tell me that when I got my period, it just won't matter :no: I won't hear you!!! ;) ;) ;) I get that magazine, I'll have to actually look at it when it comes in.
I believe filling up on lc fruits and loads of veggies is the best thing anyone can do to get healthy, lose weight and feel full. Being on Atkins, I do miss the summer fruits like watermellon, peaches, black plums....but the good thing is, I can have cantelope, berries and strawberries, not to shabby huh.
