Good Morning Gang!

Leenie - you tell the Boss Man I said to be nice to you today! ok! and thanks so much for posting Bobbie's pictures!

Bobbie - you are beautiful! you and your dh look so happy! Very handsome sons! wow 3 boys! you must be proud of them!

I got up early and did my 3 mile WATP w/handweights. I have to tell ya'll that I feel soooooooooooo much better knowing since I am exercising in the mornings before work! Tomorrow will be a week and I almost feel like a new woman! almost!

Leenie - I read one of your posts on another threads about weight/strength training. Hope you don't mind my 2 cents worth, but I think it would be a great idea to bring your weights to work and do them during your lunch hour! great idea! I think that you would probably do well to start with 5 lb weights. Once you start doing 2 sets of 15s, or 3 sets of 10s, well when you're just starting out sometimes those 5 lb weights start to get heavy. I would start off too heavy and poop out - know what I mean? but you will be the the best judge of what is the right for you once you start doing them. You can buy handweights in any weight at Academy or Sears, sometimes Walmart. P.S. I have a set of 5 lbs in a box under my desk for when I get a minute alone.

Liz - I hope your dd gets to feeling better! when do ya'll finish school for the year? we finished up last week.

Well boss is calling - I have to run but will be back later.

Hope everbody has a BLESSED day!

hugs,
cathy

Sorry Cathy you asked me once before.....school goes right to the end of june. Then we get the full two monts of july and august off. Back to school Sept 1. I wish the school year was shorter.....they could cut out so much of the extra stuff and be done earlier I am sure.......they mostly slack off this last month though dd 12 does have finals.

Have a good one hun!

Leens I was only able to see one of the pictures. Shoot.

Liz your kids go to school for a long time huh? Do they get off alot during the year due to the snow? The kids around here were out last week. I can relaly tell too. The subdivision is packed with bikes and skates. It is kind of funny too to watch what some of the kids do to entertain themselves. They will come knock on our door with the dogs toys that they find. "I was wondering if this was yours b/c I found it over there and it looks like a dog toy" So funny! They just want to talk to someone. My nail tech said that she goes to some creative memories parties so she said that she would call me when they have another one.

Cathy have you melted yet? It has been soooooo humid around here. I didn't want to go outside all weekend b/c of it. I was outsied yesterday trying to set up the hoses to water and I was breaking into a sweat. And I don't think it is b/c I am healthy either.

I hope you all have a great work day and I will be back soon.

Hi Gals
Our condo was set to close at 1PM but has been cancelled due to a "glitch" in her closing............pray AND keep your fingers crossed ( in that order please ) We may be resetting for 4..however I have 2 out of town meetings to try to sub out if that happens..so needless to say I am concerned.....she has movers coming at 8 tomorrow so I KNOW she will try to work it out.

After 5 inches of rain Sat.our downstairs carpet is pretty wet.............loads have worse problems than that..that is part of the closing hang up.the buyers house she was selling has water from the storms ...sooooooooooo that is what is new in our corner of Kentucky!

Morning Ladies!

Hope everyone had a good Holiday Weekend!

Bobbie!!! What a handsome family! Thanks for sharing those special moments with us!

CIN – I will keep some positive thoughts for you in my prayers. It sounds like she is wiling to try since she does have movers coming out. Let us know what happens.

Lynnie – That’s great to hear some uplifting news about your BIL. Sometimes a little motivation comes in the form of ugly news.

Cathy - Here I am Here I am! *grins* been a LONG weekend hehehehe.

My weekend was… long and stressful. I really hate this paper I am doing for my Linguistics class. OY! Sunday however, we did some bowling to work off some stress, course that didn’t help because I seem to have forgotten how to bowl LOL! Brain is on homework can’t seem to concentrate…sigh… so on our way home from the bowling alley (about noon) I go, you know what, it’s hot. Lets just go to the beach. And just like that James and Brit perk up LOL! So we ran home, got out all our beach stuff, went to walmart bought some ice, water, sodas and what not and got the kid a boogie board.

Let me tell you this… it was the best spur of the moment idea! I had a blast and brit loved her new boogie board. I wish I wasn’t afraid of the water It looked like so much fun that I wanted to do it. Stems from a childhood tragedy sigh. But we had fun… got a lot of walking in as well.

But I am going to admit, Holidays are my weakness… I’ve managed to get weekends under control… but those darn holidays… and those darn bbq’s and dinner celebrations. Even the rats got ribs for holidays LOL I sure they packed on a few pounds as well. I definitely pigged out I weighed myself this morning, I gained 3lbs over the entire weekend ICK! But I’m okie with it, because I know I was able to do it the first time, I can do it again. Just that I don’t think I’ll reach my Goal Weight by my Goal Date (My Birthday) heh…

This is what FitDay has for my goal

Weight Goal
Your goal is to weigh 350 lb by 06/30/2004

Goal Progress
You are currently 13 lb above the target weight.

The deadline for your goal is 29 days (4 weeks, 1 days) away.

To meet your goal you need to lose about 3.14 lb per week.

I think 3 pounds is a lot to loose in a week. I was aiming for at least 1-2lbs. Although at times I have lost 3-4lbs a week. Maybe it’s possible. I’ll do my best and whatever I weigh on June 30th is what I’ll weigh, I am still happy that I am loosing weight.

Alrighty Ladies… I got a day off from work so I’m soaking up the extra sleep, but I don’t get a break from class hehehe so I gotta get going. 2 more weeks and I'm out of class AND work for summer vacation. WOOHOO!

Catch you all later!

Sue…

Hi everyone

Leenie.....thanks for posting the pictures for me.....& thanks to everyone for all your comments.

It starts off sunny here in the mornings here in the last week & then the clouds roll in....when they do I start to feel sad....the counselor said that can happen when you have SAD....it doesn't seem to be all day.
I have been slowly going off the Celexa......for the summer. I know that can make you feel sad....but it's not as bad as in the winter.

Liz.....In B.C.....the kids go back to school on Sept. 7. I hope your DD feels better soon.

April

Sheila - Thanks! I’ve really felt great about loosing this weight. I don’t want anything to drag me down. I’ve actually haven’t had a depression spell in a long time and I’m thanking God everyday for that because I really become unbearable when the depression hits me hard. But things are looking up for me. Congrats on passing your exam I ran into a situation like yours with guys. I had a previous b/f tell me who I could talk to, what I should be doing in school, get another job because he didn’t like what I was doing, what clothes to wear because stripes made me look *fat* Although we did go out in public together, he never really showed much… hmm what’s the word… not really affection, but well okie maybe it is affection. Affection and attention. The only time he showed me either of the two was when an ex b/f from high school met up with us at a Pizza Place. Then he was all over me. Like he was marking his territory. BLECH! Needless to say I got tired of him controlling me and he’s gone. I now have a wonderful and supportive Fiance who doesn’t care what I look like and is always kind and courteous to me and of course will hold my hand in public. It’s just nice to know he loves me for me. Just remember, we all have someone for us out there. Think of it as your life is a beautiful garden, you just get weeds here and there, and eventually all that weeding will lead you to a beautiful rose who will fill your life with sweet memories and joy. That’s how I have always explained things to my sister. She’s going through the same ordeal as you. Just sometimes, there’s a lot of weeds. *big hugz*

Take care!
