  • Ok I'm back! How's everybody doing this morning?

    guess Leenie will be in meetings today?

    DH said last night that he would bring youngest ds to school this morning, so I got up at 5:00 and got in my 30 minutes of aerobics - 2 mile walk aerobics tape with handweights. Then I got cleaned up and out the door for work! I feel so much better when I can get that done first thing in the morning. Now I can run errands for my gang during lunch today, if I don't get a call to go to the nursing home today.

    Hey? doesn't anybody wanna join me on the daily food journal thread? it really does help!

    So what is everybody up to today?

    What's for lunch? I'm having turkey on wheat bread!

    Hi Cathy....you sure do get up early.....when I used to work....I had to get up at 5:30 A.M. for the day shift.
    Now I have a hard time getting up by 9 in the morning....I think it is the SAD....that is 1 of the symptoms.

    I was up at 8:45 this A.M.....have sat at the light box already.....now I am going to go & have coffee with DH.

  • Hi Cathy.....where is everyone today?

    Yes my coffee was good with DH. I weighed in today.....I have lost 18 lbs. now!!!!!!!!!!!!!........it is slow....but maybe that is better....so the skin doesn't sag so much.

  • Hi Cathy......I have been going to ediets.....it's an on line weght loss company.

    I did it for 3 weeks in August....lost 7 lbs.....then quit....I felt guilty spending the money. I rejoined at the end of September.....I needed to do this for me. In the past I had gone to Weight Watchers....probably 3 or 4 times a year for 3 decades....I would lose & gain. The last 10 years....just had a hard time sticking to the diet.

    Ediets has eating plans....you pick the one you want to follow....I picked one that is 50 to 60% carbohydrates....25 to 30% fat.....15 to 20% protein.

    Anyway....I did keep off 3 of the 7 lbs. I lost in August. Since Sept. 29....when I rejoined again....I have lost 15 lbs....plus the 3 lbs. from August.

    I find it really easy to stick to....the eating plan is interactive....for the 3 meals & 1 snack....there must be hundreds of choices....they give you a menu for the week....but you can change it if you want....then when you have figured out your meal or snack....you can make substutions.

    There are times I have gone off the eating plan....for whatever reason....I used to have the all or nothing thinking....would quit a diet...when I blew it or for whatever reason....now I know ...no matter what....I will keep doing it.

    I do walk....but it is sort of sporadic....I know I should walk more.

    There is lots more to ediets than the eating plans....they have dieticians there....I have emailed them when I had a question. There is the exercise part....a support board....there is a lot of information on the site.

    Thanks for explaining to me what you are doing. I remembered you were using ediets but couldn't remember what type of "program/diet/lifestyle of eating" that you were doing.
