Depression and Weight IssuesHave you been diagnosed with depression, are possibly on depression medication, and find it affects your weight loss efforts? Post here for support!
It's only about 8:50 am here and I'm going to grab my 2nd cup of coffee. It was good to see some posts over the weekend!
I've got lots of paperwork that I need to get done today, and I'm hoping to go walk during lunch, if nobody changes my plans.
Oldest ds started his 2nd semester at college today, and you could really tell from the traffic that there were 8000 more students on the roads this morning trying to get to class. :-(
Hey guys! I am not in the best of moods today. I am trying to keep my spirits high but it just isn't happening.
Cathy SLU doesn't start for nother week so I am spared for a little while longer. Boy watch out when school is back in. My bank is right across from campus and I can never get into it when school is in.
Leens we had a large frost the other night. Does that count as snow?
I just got back from walking at the mall during lunch. That place seemed empty for the first time since October. It was so nice!
Talking about walking....I just saw this little diddy on yahoo health....
"Want to burn 160 calories in 30 minutes? You don't even need a gym! All you have to do is walk -- a great way to tone up, decrease your risk of heart disease and colon cancer, and help control your weight. A 150-lb. person, walking briskly for 30 minutes, can burn 160 calories. "
It's nice to know that walking for 30 minutes burns at least 160 calories - but actually, I really try and focus on the fact that it speeds up my metabolism for hours afterwards.
Soooooooooo??? like??? what's everybody doing for exercise these days?
Leenie - really cute Maxine cartoon! That old lady is a hoot!
Hey Leenie - I just saw your wedding pic over on the Atkins daily chat! Just wanted to tell you that you were a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE! Love your dress too!
I was just wondering? did you struggle with your weight as a teenager? or just later in life after your married? you sure looked slim and trim in your wedding pic!
You know I struggled with my weight all my life, but the day I got married I weighed 140 lbs (and felt so big) but I would pay GOOD MONEY - heck I would float a BIG LOAN - to weigh now what I weighed the day I got married! *SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
I struggled since I was about 7 or 8, before that I was very skinny. I had lost about 150 lbs from the time I was 21 to about 23. I kept it off for about 10 years, well until my sister died (most of the weight). I started gaining little by little about 6 - 7 years ago, and after having grace I balooned up nicely.
So in sort, my entire life I struggles w/my weight. I was between 150 - 160 when I got married
I know what you mean about feeling fat, I felt HUGE when I got married.... SHEEEEEEESH how stupid was that ?

Hello Ladies
Just popping in to say hi! I'm still hanging in there, though I'm feeling really tired right now I think it's partly because I'm expecting my "friend" (some friend!), and partly because of stress. Seems like my DS's new "roomie" has a bad rep around town. Part of me wants to call him and tell him to come home, but he has to work things out for himself. We just have to continue to pray and trust God to take care of him.
Leenie: Thanks for the cartoon. That old gal is a trip!
Lynnie: I'm glad to hear your DH is joining you at WW. Hope you enjoy the meeting.
Cathy & Kemp: It's COLD here in the sunny South
(((((((Hugs to everyone)))))))))) Have a great evening!
Joanne, you can count on us, we will be praying for you also and your family.
Lynnie, GO GIRL !!!! hugs and kisses, I'll be thinking about you
Cathy, sorry, but thats the truth, I was eating below 400 calories a day. Yes I got sick and leaned my lesson. Thats why my hair thinned out. So I do not recommend it to anyone. Nothing like playing with your health huh. I also drank gallons of diet soda OY!
When we are all in heaven, thats when we can eat fritoes, cheesecake and chocolate and not gain weight lololol !!!!!
April, enjoy your coffee, I know I do
Kem, cheer up my dear, your to pretty to be running around with a frown!!
