Sorry it's taken a while to get back to everyone. I'm seriously lacking any motivation right now. I've been reading along, but I don't have the energy to write much.

I've been looking into some hobbies, and there is a choir group that meets nearby on Monday's - I'm thinking about giving them a try. I'll keep looking for other ideas too, but it's a start.

Hope everyone is doing well! Especially hoping everything is ok with Jessica - I'm worried we've not heard anything for a while :shrug:

Everyone tells me that. I guess I expect a lot of myself and when I just can't mentally keep going, I feel like a failure.

Hey! :) So yeah, I am in awe of Lisa's bravery for her move and her drive. It's something that I could only do at gunpoint, I hate driving where I've never been. So you have Elvira with you, and I'm sorry I forget the other pets you have? kitties? Big long distance hug and high-five to you Lisa!! When do you expect to arrive at your new place?

Coop, you have been great at responding to each post here :cool: and I hope you're doing well. I did not call the doctor for an appointment, it just has been hard to schedule 'cause I have just one day off a week. But I would like to do Round 2 with the diet pills, even though I read alot of negative stuff about resorting to pills for weight loss. Hey Choir sounds nice, and what about Book Clubs maybe?

So we are on Day 17 WITH NO RAIN. And in the past week, HOT!! truly! in the mid to high 80's! It has been pretty uncomfortable working in the kitchen, and sleeping at night a challenge, lots of fans on. ( no a/c) But Ive been riding to work EVERY DAY :cool: Have had to water the flowers 2 times a day though, the heat and sun just dries them out. But I've enjoyed them so much!!

Accepted some dinner shifts at the Club, this Friday, next Friday, and then 2 more for Closing Weekend. Have also been regularly working 3 more hours for the RB, making money when I can :)

Yeah, driving is so monotonous! I'm lucky that this is a relatively small island, and I've never had to drive for more than 1 day, but it usually takes me about 3 days to recover!

My aunt drives a lot, and she usually gets herself an interesting audiobook (you can get some free on podcast) - I personally get some show tunes on and sing along at the top of my lungs :) I'm also really enjoying a couple of podcasts at the moment: deliberations or best case/worst case, anything to brighten up the journey.

Holly I'm so jealous about your weather! Summer never really started for us! Hopefully it'll stick around a while longer for you guys :)

I actually went to a book group before, but I could never finish the books in time, I'm too disorganised!

I had a good trip to the nutritionist on Tuesday, she suggested I get tested for an under-active thyroid - my mum had one, and it could explain why my weight has been weird lately. We have a couple of ideas to try as well, if the test is clear. Watch this space!

I was driving through a slightly rougher part of town yesterday and saw a woman getting mugged, so I pulled over in an attempt to scare him off & make sure she was safe. I managed to get a good look at him, and gave details to the police, but I am now super-paranoid and anxious about it all. I really hope he confesses so I don't have to go to court :(

I'm here. I don't feel well though.
