  • Quote: Oh gosh Lisa, I was wondering if there was gonna be a problem with your sister, I do remember you telling us she was difficult and that you try to stay away from her, and I didn't know if she and you split ownership of the house and had to deal with that. You did the right thing, you have tried to help her, and if she is badgering you she needs to be an adult and stop!

I hope she has stopped bugging you by now.

    Hi Holly,

No, I own my home all by myself, except for the bank. At this point, I really don't want anything to do with her. I blocked her number on my phone.

I am going to give her some money to reimburse her for work she did on my garage, if this situation works out, but other than that. Nope, nothing. I am sincerely done.
  • Quote: Hi. Yea the PCOS diagnosis kinda sucked but at least I have an answer. Problem is, the way to manage it is by taking Metformin (which I'm already on for Diabetes) and Birth Control (which I am not a candidate for bc I smoke, plus it makes me really nauseated... on that note I am highly considering quitting smoking - again - so we shall see.) There is also a supplement that is supposed to be very good in managing PCOS, regulating periods, and stabilizing mood swings from the hormones. Hmmm... Things with the endoscopy went ok. We are paying it off in payments. The doc visually found a hiatal hernia and gastritis. He took biopsies to make sure there were no cancer cells bc I have a hx with GI Cancer (in remission since 12/2014.) Thanks hun. Lastly, I really hope I can lose this weight. My weigh in days are supposed to be on Wednesday, but I 'cheated' and weighed today. I've lost only 2 ounces in the last week doing WW. I am pretty disappointed, actually, but they say if this happens to lower your daily point allowance. Hoping for a more significant loss next week.
    Oh JesikaBeth,

I wish to you nothing but health. You have become such an important poster in this thread.

Keep chugging a long on trying to lose weight. If you think a food journal might help you try...fastsecret.com Just try it, you have nothing to lose.

    Have a great Wednesday.
  • Hey everyone,

I hope you are having a great Wednesday.

It's pretty slow around here today, it's kinda driving me nuts. I wish someone would call me (not my sister).

I'm going to do some chores here, dishes, empty the recycled trash, clean the kitty room. I might do a load of laundry too.

That's about it for now. Have a great day.
  • Hi Lisa and everyone Lisa I like your new avatar, I love naps also My favorite is on a sunny winter afternoon, after I've had some lunch, on my bed with two blankets

I had to work today, my usual day off, to 'make up' for planning on taking this Saturday off, for our annual Harley Raffle. I have progressed, that I dont get a stomachache by just thinking about this event, lol. I know it will go fine and everyone will have a good time. I talked to a comedian this summer, and I told him of my anxiety when I have to emcee this event. He gave me very good advice, he told me that the people in the audience want to have a good time, and they want to see ME having a good time, cause they won't enjoy themselves if I'm all quiet and shuffling my feet and nervous. Apparently last year I acted vivacious and entertaining I don't remember that but hopefully I can do it again.
  • Hey ladies,

I got a text from the man who is interested in my house. He wants to see my house again, tomorrow. It makes me nervous. What if he finds something and changes his mind? I'll be so disappointed.

I might come down a couple thousand but that is it.

What happened at the meeting today?? we hope it was good news!

I met with my new General Practitioner today, I like him. He is as laid-back and casual as my previous doctor. He looked at my medical records - barely 2 and a half pages He did suggest possibly weaning myself off the Wellbutrin as it's been like 15 years ..I said I think of it as my safety net. He does't want to 'rock the boat' especially in winter , so we agreed to try maybe in Spring. And I might need a pre-surgery checkup with him, before the cataract surgery.

    Holly,

I am so glad you liked your new guy. If he weans you off Wellbutrin, is he going to put you on something else?

The buyer is still very interested. I am now, waiting on him to get a contract put together.

The bank is looking for companies to come empty my house. I have the majority of my stuff out of the entry room and living room. There are just a couple of things. I made a list so I did not miss anything in the house.(upstairs)

I did better today. My calorie intake today was 1291. Kinda low, but that is ok. I ate really healthy today.
  • HI ladies,

I hope you all are well. I'm alone tonight, jennifer won't be back until tomorrow. (Sat.)

The bank is still getting getting estimates to have my house cleaned out. The first estimate was $2000. I was told today that they are going to try to find someone that is cheaper but they are not sure they can.

I have not heard from the buyer today. I may not hear anything until next Tuesday, with Monday being a holiday. I will admit to being on pins and needles. I don't think he's going to change his mind, I just want the whole thing done so I can move on.

I'll be honest. Last night i was looking up renting houses where I want to move. They are few and far between. There aren't even that many apartments. I started looking at houses that were for sale and found a cute little one. It is $15,500.

That's it for now. I'll post again later.
  • I have written a number of posts, then lost them! VERY frustrating!
  • As you probably guessed, the post above was my test! LOL! I am going to keep these short!
  • Holly, how has your weather been? We had the crazy mini blizzard last Saturday, but it has been warm since, and there is no snow in the ten day forecast! YIPPEE ! !

I am still having a problem with Hershey chocolate! I am exercising a minimum of an hour a day, but the eating is off. However, talking about body image, I was in a store looking at pants and I picked up a pair of size 12; the sales woman (one of those stores where they are too helpful) came over and told me that they run large, and I should try an EIGHT. I took an 8, a 10 and a 12 into the changing room, and the 8 was perfect! They had them in four colors - I bought all four!

Kathleen, it sounds like your daughter is doing great; I hope your son has adjusted to college. I can understand how starting in January might be tough.
  • How are the food journals coming along?
  • Lisa, I checked the link you sent; you might want to check the cost of renting the lot the trailer is on, what does the rent include, and how often does it increase. Is the property owned condo-style by the home owners, or does one person or a group of people own it?

My grandparents had a trailer in Florida many years ago that was more trouble than it was worth because the lot was owned by a family; they were always changing rules, raising the rent of the lot, insisting the propane gas only be bought by one company (their relative.) My gamily sold that one and built a small house that ended up costing them less in the long run.

I understand about not wanting to be weighed in weekly. I think Weight Watchers is a wonderful, practical diet. I joined twice, lost some weight but quit. The weighing in was terrible for me. If I gained or stayed the same I was close to tears; if I lost I was overly proud of myself and could not wait to get something to eat to celebrate! I seemed to find groups where one person, usually one who was at goal, dominated the entire discussion.

    Hello to everyone else.
  • Quote: How are the food journals coming along?
I completely forgot we all agreed to do food Journals!!! I managed it for 1 day
  • I might lesrn from Monica's lesson and post over a few, just in case! By the way, I have a new tablet with a wonky predictive keyboard so if you see weird things (e.g. it'seems can'take), sorry!

Wow Lisa, everything is moving so fast! I can't believe you have a buyer lined up and ready to go! I really hope the perfect place opens up at Indian Lake for you as well i'm sorry your sister didn't take it so well - I recall you hadn't thought she'd be able to afford your place anyway? It will probably be best for her in the end. I think it will be best for you too - the stress of having to fix up your place, just to sell it on...

How have you been getting on with your yoga?
