My name is Anne. I am new to this site. I have depression which sometimes inhibits good judgement. Some days I just want to know if better eating and exercise are worth it. I try to eat good and exercise but sometimes I give in to my emotions and late night cravings without realizing and then feel guilty. Any advice?

eating and exercise are definitely worth it, when the weight starts coming off you gain a momentum that can't really be matched. once, i did this thing where i made a list of all the hours in a day because i thought that being good for an hour was much easier than thinking about being good for a day. so i started to take every hour at a time and then went from there. it felt super obsessive and weird but it worked for a little until i stopped. pretty much, the best thing i can think of to do is to get on a normal sleeping pattern. wake up early (even if you don't want to) and then be tired enough to sleep at around 9-10 so that you aren't up all night thinking of food.
