hello chicks :) been so busy at work, it is always this way this week, we try to prepare but there is only so much we can do for the hundreds of people that come through here instead of dozens. I am going in early, staying late, and working on one of my precious days off, but I will get $ for it.

Our Harley Raffle is coming up soon, the 10th of January and I am sooo nervous about it. There are still tickets unsold, and that never happens! we are usually sold out by December. Makes me nervous because all of them need to be sold! I don't want any 'failure' associated with my first year of Presidency.

I can't even tell how I am eating. How delusional is that! :?: It will seem like i have nothing during the day and then I come home and my husband does have a delicious low carb dinner (he has been doing great on that) but then I find my way into the Christmas goodies in the freezer. I have been doing some kind of scripted exercise about 5 x a week, either Gilad Step and Tone or The Firm or something, about 30 minutes a session.

We have had SO little sun lately, like seeing a peek of it (truly a peek, like 5 minutes ) twice in 2 weeks; the dog was barking at something the other day, and we figured out it was a shadow, the dog was barking at a shadow because he hasnt seen one in so long

Brand New Member Looking for Accountability Partner(s) (to support eachother)

I'd like to try something. I'd like someone to text or call daily about exercise and to encourage one another. If anyone is interested....please message me for my information. I'm great with doing this kind of stuff if it involves working as a team  but I'm terrible at sports and my family and friends in real life aren't really interested in being this supportive of me...I was hoping someone online might feel the same way I do about accountability.
Stuff like...Hey how are you-- what'd you do today exercise wise? How'd you eat?
Maybe start a blog together and check each other's stuff to see how we're doing and cheer one another on... you know??
:carrot:

Happy New Year, friends!!!!!!!!

Thanks- I am pretty happy my friend told me to find an online forum... hoping it helps. How often do the threads update on this group? Do you think my desire to have an accountability partner is something someone else will want to do with me?

I've been depressed since 03, My depression comes and goes but here recently I've become more depressed over my weight. It happened when I hit 293 again that has came and went but I'm still depressed. I know I should be happy that I got to 281 from 310 at one point but I just cant get away from my weight gained depression. Does anyone feel the same way?

I know this response is late, but I can understand and appreciate where you're coming from. Being overweight doesn't make life any easier on top of a battle with depression. Not having the motivation to make changes can feel like a reason to completely give up. But that's why I love the idea of this forum, where people come together to lift each other up in a community of people who are walking the walk and understand how it feels. It's just not the same to sit there on the phone or at a Starbucks talking to my 110 pound friend who's a model, literally, about how I feel...she can't relate. And then all my friends who want to make a difference in their own weight loss adventures tend to go about it by themselves because our schedules are different or they live too far away to meet up with me to exercise/etc. I know that if I was spending time talking to people daily about this and being encouraged and encouraging others...if I had this at the forefront of my mind, I'd do a lot better in this journey to success. And even better with consistent support.:carrot:
