I cannot believe this is possible....

  • If it wasn't happening to me, i'd never believe it-- I started taking Prozac 10mg and Yaz to level out my hormones 2 years ago. I feel great mentally now. But-- I had gained 20 lbs at one point, thru diet and exercise I have lost 10 of it. I work out (cardio and weights) pretty hard 5x per week, eat less than 100 g of carbs each day, and keep my calories under 1400. I have been doing this faithfully for 5 weeks now, and I have not lost ONE POUND. Not one. I just almost cannot believe it!!!!!! so depressing. I don't know what else to do......I cannot lose that extra 10 lbs. I wanna cry now.....
  • Hi! Don't get down about it just yet, have you measured yourself?

It's possible that you are adding a little muscle with the weight training, maybe it's displacing the fat. Muscle weighs a lot, but takes up less space, so maybe that's what is happening. The scale isn't the only way to measure your weight loss, and it's not always the most accurate.

AND! - Don't forget that you are taking better care of yourself, so you are getting healthier, that's a very important thing!
  • It gets harder the closer you are to goal. A lot of people advocate eating a few more calories for maybe 2 days and then go back to what you were doing. So maybe try eating 1600-2000 calories for 2 days and some more carbs and see if that helps. Last time I got stuck at a weight I ate some more for 2 days (even though I don't strictly calorie count) and it helped me. Good luck, you're doing great so far!

Have you been measuring yourself and paying attention to how your clothes fit? I've found that clothes and measurements tell you a lot more than numbers on a scale. I've lost inches off my waist and bust but stayed the same weight many times because muscle weighs more than fat.
  • thanks you guys. I guess I just needed a little pep talk. My clothes def. fit better, and my husband says I look far healthier/thinner. I just don't get the scales....I am partying it up this weekend, eating more, and I will get back on track after the holiday.
AGAIN-- THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO COMMENT!

That's awesome, results are being seen! Seriously, the scales are not the best way to check progress, especially as you get so close to your goal.

    Have fun this weekend~
