I cannot believe this is possible....
If it wasn't happening to me, i'd never believe it-- I started taking Prozac 10mg and Yaz to level out my hormones 2 years ago. I feel great mentally now. But-- I had gained 20 lbs at one point, thru diet and exercise I have lost 10 of it. I work out (cardio and weights) pretty hard 5x per week, eat less than 100 g of carbs each day, and keep my calories under 1400. I have been doing this faithfully for 5 weeks now, and I have not lost ONE POUND. Not one. I just almost cannot believe it!!!!!! so depressing. I don't know what else to do......I cannot lose that extra 10 lbs. I wanna cry now.....

Hi! Don't get down about it just yet, have you measured yourself?
It's possible that you are adding a little muscle with the weight training, maybe it's displacing the fat. Muscle weighs a lot, but takes up less space, so maybe that's what is happening. The scale isn't the only way to measure your weight loss, and it's not always the most accurate. AND! - Don't forget that you are taking better care of yourself, so you are getting healthier, that's a very important thing! :) |
It gets harder the closer you are to goal. A lot of people advocate eating a few more calories for maybe 2 days and then go back to what you were doing. So maybe try eating 1600-2000 calories for 2 days and some more carbs and see if that helps. Last time I got stuck at a weight I ate some more for 2 days (even though I don't strictly calorie count) and it helped me. Good luck, you're doing great so far!
