Unhappy Effexor XR, Trazodone, Abilify

That's my lovely cocktail. Have been taking the first two for many years, and recently had abilify added. So, my weight gain started with this and our move to Hawaii (and all the amazing seafood lol) back in 2003. And two kiddos later and here I sit, struggling to lose all this excess weight. I have successfully lost in the past doing the South Beach diet, but am doing WW now and it seems like I am just maintaining, feels like I am going to be stuck like this forever; I feel like I won't see progress fast enough and it is making my depression worse. Is there anything extra I can do besides diet & exercise to help since my meds are part of my problem? This really bites.

I feel ya on the medication front. I am on similar medications one of which made my appetite increase exponentially. I know it might sound silly but have you thought of a hobby something that will make you smile. I crochet, I know it sounds all old grandma like but it gives me something to look forward too and because of it I joined a group of crocheters that I get a lot of positive weight loss feedback from. I hope this gets better for you and just know you aren't alone there are tons of people out there who feel the same.

Thank you Yeah I just recently started sketching again, trying to find some new hobbies that keep my hands busy (instead of the internet LOL) I am hoping this will help, and as soon as weather warms up for good and we stop getting so much rain I plan on taking my boys to the park several times a week, and on walks.... I am sure all this will help and I just need to be patient but it's hard sometimes.

I hear you on it being hard this is only my second day on a diet and I wanted to claw peoples eyes out today that were eating fast food near me. I think it does get easier with time and the warmer weather will help as there is always more to do during that time. Good luck.

Definitely, and especially when the farmer's markets open up again, I'm excited for all that fresh produce!
