Monday Jan. 3

  • Happy Monday Morning All

I'm up early, so I thought I'd be the one to start the thread.

How was everyones' weekend? I hope it was a good one for everyone.

I think we're finally getting some winter like weather here, It's cooling off, felt like about 60 degrees out, and after the warm weather for so long it's hard to get use to.

My daughter was invited to a gathering at a friend from school that was injured on a dirt bike, he crushed both his ankles and has pins through them. (ouch) This boys dad is a doctor, wow, their house was something, it was beautiful, breath taking, I was a bit jealous, but doctors sure work for their money.

talk with ya all later, if not, have a good monday, time to exersize with Leslie.
  • Good Morning Gang!

Ladypal - you go girl - good for you doing a walking tape this morning. I'm going walking at noon. Just had a protein smoothie for breakfast and it was yummy good.

We had a good weekend except for the sadness surrounding the space shuttle. We are about 80 miles from Toledo Bend - the lake that they are talking about on the national news that they closed down. People are finding what they believe to be pieces of the space shuttle, just a few miles down the road from us, both to the north and the south of us. It is really just mind boggling to think that pieces of the shuttle are being found across the 2 states of Texas and Louisiana. We need to pray for the families of the astronauts during this awful time - what a terrible loss. It is comforting tho to me to hear the families sharing their strong faith during this time and to hear our President quoting scripture.

I need to get busy at work, but I hope that everyone has a good day and that we live it to the fullest. :-)

    hugs to my internet buddies,
    Cathy
  • Greetings all. Hope you all had a nice weekend. My moods improving but DH is home from work today so who knows how the day will go!!!

Just wanted to let you know that the shuttle is huge news even here and a large portion of our news has been devoted to it. We also have digital tv and I was able to watch cnn and see as it happened.

It really is so sad and at the same time amazing that no one was killed by a piece of falling debris.

My heart also goes out to the families of those astronauts and also to you ladies in the USA for whom it is so much more real than for me here in NZ. You are all in my prayers.

I'll catch up later in the day.

  • I am here! I just wanted to say, all work and no play makes Kempy a CRAZY WOMAN!!!
  • Hi all, busy, busy, busy

This space shuttle tragedy is so bad, I feel for everyone who either knows or has a relation to the ones that were aboard, all we can do is pray for them daily that they find someone to lean on and get through it all, time will heal them.

    take care, gotta go surf.
