i'm an emotional eater, bored eater, and i won't get off my butt to exercise, always making excuses

hopefully the support--- my boyfriend who's in the greatest shape ever (since he's in the army), i feel like i owe it to myself and it would be a good gift to him for him to come home and see me looking better... and plus i'm studying abroad in the fall-- so i'll be doing more walking around than i normally do.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: portion control, eating all the time
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I'm very uncomfortable and I've just had it(I stole this form Michelle but it's the same for me!! Also I am going to do weight watchers again. It was the most successful for me, and I have a partner, my sis-in-law.

HAIR COLOR: Naturally auburnish chestnut kind of colour with a few grey bits but currently mainly brown with blonde bits.
OCCUPATION: Complicated! Self employed training consultant and mother, mainly. Need to decide what I really want to be when I grow up before the kids start school and struggling with it.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: I eat too much when I'm bored, sad, tired etc etc-emotional stuff. I'm a self sabotager-unable to stop spoiling things for myself when they go right. I eat without even thonking about it or realising what I'm doing-like breathing!
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: Frankly I'm desperate! Sick & tired of looking like someone I'm not.Feel like I should just be able to step out of this skin and into something that fits a bit better. This is officially my last try.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I'm a survivor. Have just about managed to get a grip on a life which used to be unbearable, doing my best and trying my hardest but unable to get in control of my weight. It's the last big hurdle I have to jump...I think. I should add I don't think thin people are or even look any better than fat ones, but I need to do this to prove to myself that I can. It matters to me much more than I am able to explain.
Oh, and I'm not as angst ridden and miserable as that last bit would imply, just trying to be honest about the reason I'm posting here.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Boredom. I eat when I'm bored and I get bored easily, mostly due to the depression. I get in moods where I just can't think of anything to do that sounds remotely interesting so I eat instead.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: Well, I've lost 69.5 pounds as of this morning and I think the difference this time is I've made it a part of my lifestyle. I've given up on the idea that thin is in and I've focused on my health and how I feel. I've also been focusing on my self esteem and self acceptance. That's the difference this time.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: Not having the discipline to maintain a healthy diet, as well as the fact that my BF and I work somewhat opposite shifts, so cooking & eating meals together is kinda tough ... working on that though!!
WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I've gotten to the point where I know I can lose the weight (I've lost about 60-65 pounds so far, kept most off for 2 years!), and I've just finally gotten sick of always saying, "I want to finish losing my weight"...it's been 2 years and I've finally got the motivation to start getting back into the healthy lifestyle, and the fact that my BF is also wanting to eat healthier, and start cooking/exercising more is definately going to help!!

I decided to join this board b/c although I don't have "diagnosed depression", I know there are many times (a few times a week at least) where I look at myself and start to get depressed thinking about how unhappy I am with my body. My BF is the most encouraging man in the world, who adores me and how I look, but unfortunately due to some not so great past relationships, I still have low self esteem ... definately something I'm working on though!!

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I'm determined, plus I'm on the Atkins Diet which doesn't allow me to have ANY of the normal foods I'd gorge myself on usually... and my mother's on it withme, so we're kind of regulating each other.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU? I know I'm not really overweight now, but I know that if I keep on the way I am, I will become very overweight, so I've decided to try to get slim now, while I'm young, and change my habits early. Wish me luck!

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I don't know! this year is the first time for 20 years I've seriously tried to lose weight. I stopped smoking in February 2003, and am hoping some of the lessons I learnt doing that will help me with this.
