Also, I have started to understand why I am the way I am. I was told repeatedly that my step-dad didn't love me, and that I wasn't part of his family by my grandma. She always would tell me that people were laughing at me, making fun of me behind my back, and made me feel so unwanted. She loved me, but now that I look back at it, she wanted me to herself. She broke my spirit, and while I cannot tell her in person that what she did damaged me, I can acknowledge that it is time to let the past go...and move forward.
