Talking Ssri Weight Gain Possible Solution!

I was browsing through drsears.com as I am considering doing The Zone, and came across some information I thought might be of interest to anyone experiencing weight gain on SSRIs such as Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, etc. The following is a direct quote from this site...

"SSRIs like Prozac and Zoloft will cause weight gain when used on a long-term basis. this is because as serotonin levels rise, dopamine levels will decrease in the brain. The dexrease in dopamine levels will lead to an increase in insulin secretion, this generating weight gain. The solution is to consume more fish oil, which increases dopamine secretion in the frontal cortex."

This is from an "Ask Dr. Sears" forum on the site - I don't know much about fish oil, but thought people might want to look into this.
