Goddess Welcome!
Linda and Mystery's reccomendations were great, but I'd like to add a couple more things...I am menopausal, so I can understand most anything you need to say about that. I cannot take hormones, been there, not for me. I have been hormone deficient since 1985 and yes it was tough getting through the "changes" and the mood swings and the anxiety. I gained 60 pounds in 8 years, (about 8 pounds a year), didn't think I had changed anything. I Still thought I ate the same way and did as much exercise during this weight gain, but I discovered something, my body had "changed" and I no longer could eat the same way or get away with walking 4 to 5 times a week. The old metabolism was gone for good. Yes, this was depressing, but now I know, I have to eat less and move more if I want any results and believe me it is slow going but I am not giving up.
Exercise helps me tremendously with the depression and keeps me motivated and away from temptation. Gives me a total different attitude about the day. But here is what I really wanted to tell you, I think you were making reference to gaining weight while you have been with this trainer. When I started the gym, I gained three pounds the first month but I lost 6 pounds of body fat. After two months, I lost the three pounds but no more on the scale, but lost a total of 11 pounds of body fat. This was equivalent to one dress size for me and I didn't loose a pound on the scale. So maybe, this is happening to you too, don't despair, keep on going you will get results. As my good friend Linda T would say..."get rid of the scale" lol
Take care, once again welcome!
