Default Excessive Weight gain because of Seroquel.. !@

I absolutely hate this drug, but it's the only thing that seems to help me with my moods and sleep regulation.. My doctor prescribed 400mg of this along with 200mg of Valproic Acid.. The problem with it is wakes me up to midnight cravings.. I feel like i have to be full before i can go back to sleep. I feel like a zombie dragging myself to the kitchen to binge .. I've been on and off this drug for several years and i know it's the drug doing this because when i stop taking it the night binges stop and the cravings go away but i'm up all night. The worse is i tried to explain it to my doctor and he says i should try to drink water or eat healthy, but who's thinking clearly when their semi sedated 3am in the morning.. ? I'm bipolar and if i can just find a better sleep aid/mood stabilizer i'd leave this drug alone for good..

I am on seroquel and I hate that zombie feeling too. It works for my moods but some of the side effects really suck. It doesn't make me eat at night but it does make me want sweets. Good luck on finding another med.

Default may have found a middle ground

I talked with my doctor , and he said that if add more time for my workouts during the week the cravings at night might diminish so i'm going to try that. Glad, I'm not the only one experiencing these annoying side effects..
